Honestly. A number of the GPS schools have used public fields to supplement their main grounds. These fields are impossible to maintain to the same standard, especially in bad weather with high traffic. Scots have for a long time used Centennial Park Parade Ground as well and while not perfect, the fields are absolutely fine for school rugby. Joeys College E field, across the road from the main school, is also not great but I think we need to accept that every field is not going to be like the SCG.

INP
I would agree generally with you INP although it is questionable why you would play 15a's there when you have 13's and 14's playing on Joeys number 1. Why? well seniority for one thing but more importantly, a sub standard surface is a major causal factor in lower leg injuries particularly players get bigger and stronger which they are by U15's. The situation also results in a lack of available reserves as (in the case this week) when the 15b's travel to play Knox's 15a's....

Joeys number 1 is the best field in Sydney.

Chrisso park is an utter disgrace I cannot Scot’s has this crap level of fields. Scot’s facilities are the worst in the GPS and CAS an utter disgrace
That is one of the most bullshit statements i've ever heard. Scot's is able to support over 25 teams with only one main oval. We have Chrisso which currently isn't looking good but Centennial park which are pretty good fields plus the UNSW fields which juniors occasionally play on. It's not easy to support that many games a week while having no space plus not many available ovals around us. If you are talking about facilities other than fields then that comment is literally the most extreme level of bullshit

I was very confused about this as well, maybe so that the 15A's get a proper home game rather than having to play at joeys? Not sure though

I think on a good day Newington's Johnstone oval takes the number 1 spot - yes i may be biased but nonetheless it is such a great field to watch rugby.

Newington team lists:
Edward Barton (no.12) & Siteni Taukamo (no.14) have been replaced by Matteo Cleverley and Casey McLean (both in year 11) due to injuries.
Tom Farr - Jones, (son of Nick Farr - Jones), I believe is making his opens debut as the full back for the 2nd XV (year 10 at newington)

This is why I think the 22 plus margin is optimistic with Siteni out.
