Wallabies 2023

Laurie Fisher was an excellent call. It looks as though our breakdown work was sharper on the weekend. It really does not matter where they come from as long as they are the best available.

Is Du Plessis aware of this Brumbies mutiny?

It looks as though our scrum is much stronger with Swain and Philip in the row. I’m yet to be convinced by Arnold but he was better on the weekend.

I never thought it was unusual to see young promising coaches brought in to get a feel for Wob camp.

If every time an intern turns up somewhere, the office was full of rumours you were training your replacement ....................
I have no issue with Palmer being there, I was just suggesting it looks official, rather than the nonsense suggestion he was Laurie Fisher's guest.

Regardless of how many Brumbies are in players/ staff set up, if we are winning games, carry the hell on.

1 from 1 with Lord Laurie at the helm.
You missed the point of my post - not complaining about it, just pointing out it looks official in some capacity.

It’s official because the bloke is wearing a polo top?

C’mon cyclo I thought you were one of the better ones.

I didn't think you would have had an issue with it, "nonsense" is a good descriptor of the last few pages on this thread

The last few pages of this thread... :D

Anyways, clearly Palmer hasn't been secretly installed as Du Plessis' replacement as Du Plessis is present, and Palmer appears to step away from the larger players and coaches huddle that occurred after the game...

Unfortunately he's out of focus so I can't see if that reads 'Wallaroos' on his chest, as they have the same tracksuits as the Wallabies staff...

Or was he just involved in the other promotional work along with Izack Rodda and co with the kids on Sunday?

I don't know, but the mention of Jim McKay holding a pool noodle at Wallaby training certainly didn't create the same hysteria...

People are more upset about Dan Palmer being spotted in the changing room than losing 48-17 to Argentina. Bizzaro world

only good as your last result.

most people probably moved on from the 48-17 score now that we got a scalp against the fancy rated springboks.

We're going to miss Marika so much when he leaves. Hope gets the recognition he deserves, bloke is sensational.

Drew Mitchell said he reckons Marika is a better winger than him and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper).

Rennie's comments on Marika from the weekend:

“He’s incredible. And what you see on Saturdays is what you see every day training. He is just full on,” Rennie raved. “If we kick a ball, he is full pace chasing everything. His work ethic is phenomenal – I haven’t seen another winger like him.

“He’s not a big man but he’s powerful and he’s all over the park. Have a look at his numbers. They’re outrageous.”

Any appointment should be done through a clear and transparent process that isn't unduly influenced by regional bias and friends in the roles; to avoid these nepotism claims.

There's nothing to suggest du Plessis isn't the best person for the job.

Nah, that kind of of red tape stuff slows down progression so much. You really think they need to make it some sort of process and tick-box compliance crap. Let the head coach bring in whoever he wants. There's 1-2 week between tests, it's much more efficient that way.
