Realized the user friendly time of the game as I looked up the detail….beautiful!!

Anyone care to speculate as to the make up of our team v Les Frogs?

Was Tate off with HIA or just replaced? That might make a difference. At present Skelton is our other OS player (other than Foley)?

I think he went off for a HIA which was roughly coincidental with the timing of White coming on anyway, so he didn’t come back on. I would figure he is in the mix for any team selection.

Foley and Skelton are the two, I think Rennie is keeping his options open for the third in case there is an injury during the tour.

Could be wrong, but it looked to me like he came off after the trainers had left the field, implying it wasn't their directive and was just a routine sub.

I assume they're going to stick with the plan to start Skelton, in which case I think Neville might miss out as Frost was pretty damn good tonight...

I'm curious to see how they go with the halves - early on McDermott was killing it, but his passing from the ruck was at times slow which killed our attack in their 22m.

There were a few players who might need a slap down for their ref chat.

I think Hanigan comes into the side at 6 and we do a 6:2 (not 7:2 ooops).

I'd also start Tupou. Finish with 1. Gibbon 2. Fainga'a 3. Ala'alatoa 4. Neville 5. Hanigan 6. Holloway 7. Hooper 8. Samu

I don't see the point of Banks, he doesn't demand selection, he's leaving, we have other options. Campbell starts and Hodge at 23. No Lolesio for 6:2.

Give Paisami another chance to develop a combo with Foley.

If Skelton starts, and Frost is rewarded with another start... or if he's not and it's Neville... either way - Holloway starts at 6, particularly as he's running the line out and it actually went pretty good tonight.

Tupou giving away what could've been the losing penalty might not win him a starting gig.

This is one of those "haha, we're going to get belted sort of games", but there's always hope. Skelton coming into the side and probably partnering Frost is a good thing. Firstly, he's killing it in France and secondly we have a chance to fully test him at international level. We'll need back row lineout jumpers though, so that means Holloway or Hanigan playing at blindside.

The backs are going to need to do a lot more with the pill this week and our breakdown work is going to need to be razor sharp, as that's an area that France excel at.

some of tate's passing from the bottom of the ruck was shitter than phipps, which is saying something.

and foley made 2 tackles?

has hell frozen over and a wobs win is on the cards?

I would start Neville and bring on Frost to replace Skelton. Frost can cover 6 and Neville can't. I also thought Neville had a very good game.

This is the likely XV for France this weekend:
15. Ramos ; 14. Penaud, 13. Danty, 12. Fickou, 11. Moefana ; 10. Ntamack, 9. Dupont ; 7. Ollivon, 8. Alldritt, 6. Jelonch ; 5. Willemse, 4. Woki ; 3. Atonio, 2. Marchand, 1. Priso.

Most of those names need no introduction. Nearly a full strength backline, just missing Jaminet and Villere in the back three who are both injured, replaced by Ramos and Moefana respectively. Not really much of a step down, maybe Ramos is a little weaker defensively than Jaminet. Enough has been said about Ntamack and Dupont but it is notable that Ntamack hasn't played a game of rugby in 6 weeks because of a niggle. Hopefully he's still a bit rusty.

With Woki's move into the 2nd row permanent, they can play their strongest backrow with former captain Ollivon joining Alldritt and Jelonch. We're a bit up against it at lineout time with such good jumpers, predicting Woki to get a couple steals.

Only debutant is their loosehead. Their two best loosies are injured in Baille and Gross. Hopefully Tupou/Ala'alatoa can give him a tough introduction.

Anyway, doesn't look like many weak links, perhaps at 13, never really rated Danty.

Wallabies to just STFU when it comes to the ref. Captain to politely ask once for clarification of decisions if unclear, then "yes sir" and nothing else.

Fuck me that's a formidable side from the French if it's what they select.

Freakish athlete Sekou Macalou has been alternating between backrow and wing at training, so they'll probably run a 6/2 bench with him covering wing and backrow. Allowing them to carry only scrummie Lucu and flyhalf Jalibert on the bench.

I agree on Banks. Although it's only been one game back from injury, maybe worth one final chance.

I feel the same about Foley. What's the point in selecting him. He is far from demanding selection and he is taking up an overseas spot. His goal kicking was about the only good thing, but Noah's goal kicking is just as good or better, and he has more chance of improving/developing. Or give Donaldson some game-time.
