I think that's the best side we could have put on the park. Probably would have a different bench, while I don't think Gordon has done anything wrong, I really like Tate's energy off the bench. I would also have Noah in place of Paisami, having Hodge on the bench allows you to pick a specialist. I'd love to see Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) get some game time, but I guess that will happen against Italy. I think Tom Robbo and Jock really earned those spots, that's a big tick for the Aus A concept.

I’d prefer Banks over Wright on the wing, I always thought Banks could be a world-class winger but struggles with certain aspects at fullback.

Considering all things it's a decent side. Foketi will have his hands full with Danty. He did some serious damage on his trip here earlier in the year.
Holloway stabilising into a 6 and I am pleased to see it, will know more on Sunday morning as this will be a very big game for the backrow. I think we might need Samu on early as Hooper may fade as he will go flat-out in this game. One thing you can say about Hooper he seems to love serious competition.

The supporters and kick chase will have to be a big step up on Scotland. Just watched Tate's break several times and the support runners seem to stop and go 'what the!' and then start to run. They are 3 seconds behind Tate. It is made worse as they are actually running towards the break position before they pull up.
I rate Robertson, he rarely lets you down

fattie, I'm not too happy with the rotation system as we build towards RWC. What you reckon?
I would prefer to build combinations, but as we have seen - our team is made of glass, so there is a certain logic also in getting players time playing as we have no idea who is ever going to be fit

Really not a fan of rotation but I suppose it's a plus if it means Tate gets to start more.
With the WC not too far away you'd think we'll have to settle on & stick with a halves combination pretty soon though.....

Rennie is saying he will 'pick and stick' next year but is that too late? Just asking as we should have a solid idea what the team looks like and not sure how many games before RWC next year, not many I guess.

Robinson is an example of a prop who would have suited test rugby 10 years ago, reality is the demands/expectations of a test prop these days are much more dynamic then just a potplant who anchors the scrum. Wallabies vs England highlighted this; Ellis Genge not only held his own in the scrum against the Wallabies but was a massive influence around the ground. Robertson and Gibbon aren‘t that.
Angus Bell and Tupou(before this season) are the two Aussie props who offer the most around the ground, but need to iron out the kinks in their scrummaging still.
