I’m ok with Brumbies recruiting players from other states and regions, that should be reflected relatively in distributions for grassroots grants though. If we’re being serious about protecting grassroots and pathways as well as growing, then Super Rugby teams should be investing in programs in those areas providing the players.

Rebels do it a bit by pushing their players back to the QPR, I think more of that but with funding agreements to support the grassroots clubs. NRL do it routinely, clubs that don’t have good grassroots catchments establish partnerships with clubs in other states that do.

Based on QPR this year, you’d JU put him ahead of Fourie from what I saw.

Think he is getting primed for a finishing role next season, Fourie still very young & raw just getting plenty of reps in the pre season. The only other side in SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) jordy will play for is Moana

The latest proposal for a new Canberra stadium...

A consortium of Canberra businesses, sporting organisations and the Convention Bureau have developed a 36-page proposal addressing the issue of ageing infrastructure in the ACT.

The document, which has been presented to the Prime Minister and the ACT Chief Minister as well as Canberra’s Members of Parliament and ACT MLAs, outlines a way forward to build a new Civic indoor stadium and a new convention centre, as well as a proposal for the AIS Arena.

The plan would see the development of a 30,000-seat stadium, for use by the Raiders, the Brumbies and soccer, as well as providing an international standard, state-of-the-art entertainment venue built on the footprint of the Civic Olympic Pool site.

Much needed, currently the RWC fixture list will stir up a hornets nest when they aren’t used as a venue for the tournament, as has been widely rumoured.
