Waratahs 2024

We'll be waiting a while I think - don't the Tahs normally not announce anything until right before the season.

EDIT: This is sarcasm - just kidding (unfortunately tone doesn't convey across text - it sounded better in my head)

Disappointed there still isn't a Sunday home game on the schedule for next year.
Given that, if you sit on the eastern side of the stadium, an afternoon game can be a misery due to the sun (heat and visibility), I think it is very wise that they have gone for all night games. Now, if the stadium was fully roofed, that would be another matter.

I totally get the sun issues but I just want an opportunity to take my young kids to a Waratahs game.

Same here - actually this morning my 5 year old saw the post the Waratahs put up on Instagram with the draw for 2024 and he asked me "can we see a waratahs game? And not on the tv - I like watching the waratahs at the game"

7.30 games suck for kids when you're 2hrs from Sydney!

The answer is the Waratahs Super W games.

I took my daughter to three of them this season and it was excellent. Concord Oval, 3pm kick-off on a Saturday or Sunday.

Yeah it’s perfect. It’s the beauty of the Club time slot. I’ve even been to some NSW Cup League with other people on a Sunday arvo. Kids can play, warm and home for dinner.

The waratahs need to play some of there younger talents ie jack bowen, teddy wilson and henry odonell who where clear standouts for the junor wallabies.
O'Donnell has been one of my favorites to watch this year. Great for the u20's and came second in the Shute Shield for Norths in the GF against Randwick scoring a try aswell.

His try was a very impressive. gassing the randwick full back. Can definitely see him playing waratahs and wallabies very soon

Higher ceiling than Tuipolotu IMO.

Could eat my words if he develops like his brother.

Genuine Centres are a valuable commodity. We’ve seen too many big bludgeoning Centres without a passing or change of direction in their game. They get figured out like Paisami at the Reds where I think Flook offers a better option as a Rugby player long term.

Good player. Defensively quite poor for a 13. Leaves a staggered line every time. See him more if a 12.
Plenty of better 13s in Shute Shield

I’d agree about being a 12. Am willing to not judge him too harshly yet when he’s still 20.

Plenty of the Wallabies last night had similar issues.

Pretty sure the way the departures are going that Bowen and Wilson will be getting more use.

No money. Tahs will definitely chase cheaper options for depth to the squad. Which means wider squad will be be selected on a spread sheet bias

I’m simply referring to Goddard and Donaldson’s departure. Not sure what you’re saying here.

Tahs could do a lot worse than decide to move forward with Bowen and use Edmed to bring him through.

Harrison is still worth giving a go and won’t break the bank to keep.

Wouldn’t hate seeing Jude Gibbs brought in for pre season either.
