Let’s hope he delivers next weekI do love big Nellas reactions when we win these late games. He jumps around like a jubilant school kid on the sideline and I’m here for it. Go the big fella.

There's acknowledgement that Tom missed the tackle leading to the first try. but he also missed the crucial one in the later try scored down the left side.10. Tom Lynagh: A mixed bag. Misfired with a missed touch finder and defensive lapse for Argentina’s first try. Failed a second HIA – a concern for the 22-year-old. 5/10
Did Lynagh fail a HIA ???
One of the ones for the Reds was impact from his own player wasn't it?Am I correct this is the first concussion this year that hasn’t been as a result of foul play? Two high shots and one illegal clean out? Wasn’t last years also due to foul play?
Unsure why Tom is being singled out for this game.4 starting games now, how many do we look to give a young 10? 15-20 to find his feet? I still think the better option for his development would have been to keep him in the bench for a while. JOC (James O'Connor) (James O'Connor) (James O'Connor) is right there and then he comes on for last 20 mins
Probably because whilst others did good things he didn't do much at all.Unsure why Tom is being singled out for this game.
Almost every Wallaby player did some good things but also countered it with doing something equally poor ie dropped balls, penalties or didnt execute something.
This is it. Have seen it the level down but not yet at Test. Very young so plenty to still be developed. His physical characteristics are a potential hinder thoughI think he has done good things at Super Rugby level, hasn’t delivered that at test level yet. Don’t think anyone will be giving him wraps for his test performances but the injuries and HIAs certainly aren’t helping the consistency there.
To be fair, all our 10’s get singled out if they have a below par performance. It’s such a crucial position, they are always in the spotlight and the team’s performance more often than not usually hinges on how the main playmaker performs.Unsure why Tom is being singled out for this game.

For the two set piece tries it looked like we didn't work hard enough; Valetini didn't get off the scrum fast enough on the first and White wasn't able to track the 9 off the scrum for the second try. This created overloads.
Biggest problem was the gifting of field position and ball through all the penalties in the first half. Meant we couldn't put pressure on the argies like we did in teh second half.
Someone gets it. A playmaker is supposed to organise the attack. Not be some hit man tackle god. Sure he is expected to do some tackling but it's not why he's there. A lot of people on here think that because Lynagh and ....gone to NRL Carter Gordon ... are better tacklers that they are automatically our best 10's. Give me a break. Young Tom needs to be rested for some time and ponder his future. The amount of head knocks he's had is getting pretty serious.Concerning times for young Lynagh with the news of another failed HIA. Just as concerning that he came off with tight hamstrings. That’s be an ongoing issue for him unfortunately. His long term health is his main priority.
These continued head knocks highlight the reasons why coaches tend to defend playmakers on the wing. To try and shield them from contact. Someone mentioned earlier that we expect our 10’s to tackle like back rowers. But as playmakers they need to stay fresh and alert to fulfil their main role.
Was actually him going high into tackle and their heads collided. One of the ones for the Reds was impact from his own player wasn't it?
I’m obviously no concussion expert but this is starting to feel like Will Puckovski who seemed to get concussed running between the wickets. With that case he definitely had lingering symptoms but some of it appeared to be mental health issues (anxiety). Now I’m not suggesting they weren’t real but it seemed like the worry of getting a head knock were similar to actually sustaining a head knock. Back to lynagh, I do remember when he had hammy issues he was apparently medically right to go but didn’t have confidence in his body and pulled out of selection for the wallabies. Someone can tell me this but I’m unsure if he actually failed his HIA or if it was a mouth guard ping or if that constitutes an automatic failure. Hopefully we get to bottom of it because he can’t keep coping these hits. This seems worse for Tom that he is likely carrying around long term symptoms that are being flared up really easily.
I was confident he had a bit more space on the topic but if he’s getting incidental ones it really starts making things hard. I’m sure it doesn’t help a 10s play even if he’s not consciously avoiding contact. Could it explain led to a few lapsed moments in the game as well…
Is there a point you just sit there bloke until Super Rugby next year? I know we want games into the young guys but if he’s risking not making it to 2027 going the way he is then sit him for a few months and let him heal.
I think he probably was substituted for the hamstring, but then soon after the doctor reviewing video would have seen the tackle or the mouthguard would have pinged, and he would have had the HIA off field straight after.Someone can tell me this but I’m unsure if he actually failed his HIA or if it was a mouth guard ping or if that constitutes an automatic failure. Thanks mate. After posting I found your comment. Watching the replay now so I'll keep my eyes on it. Whilst no concussion is a good thing at least they're coming off big hits not the glass jaw situation. He's getting his head in the wrong place (Lions one and the one from a Red's teammate) so at least it's encouraging that he could improve with better tackle technique.I think he probably was substituted for the hamstring, but then soon after the doctor reviewing video would have seen the tackle or the mouthguard would have pinged, and he would have had the HIA off field straight after.
It doesn't look like it's a small or unual knock, or anything like that, too small to cause a concussion. He just got his head on the wrong side and got smashed by a guy running very hard into the impact.
