Does he do anything else other than coaching?Bit of a step down for Brad Thorn from Reds HC, now the forwards coach for 51st ranked Malta. Was an assistant coach at BBC in the interim.
Not that I'm aware of, but I think the BBC role was intended as a way of keeping in touch with the game while otherwise spending some time away from the pro side of things to reset, given he never really had a gap between playing and coaching in pro environments. This could be a sign he's looking at working his way back in now. I'd love to see him in an age grade role somewhere in Australia, it's where he's had the most success previously.Does he do anything else other than coaching?
Would be good, where he lacked tactical IQ, he could instill a certain work ethic that could hugely benefit younger players. Not that I'm aware of, but I think the BBC role was intended as a way of keeping in touch with the game while otherwise spending some time away from the pro side of things to reset, given he never really had a gap between playing and coaching in pro environments. He'd be a fantastic guy for RA to have be a Forwards coach/mentor from U20s through to 16s. His perceived intensity is fine when it's for short camps and tournaments. It's really what you want in those thrown together periods. Not that I'm aware of, but I think the BBC role was intended as a way of keeping in touch with the game while otherwise spending some time away from the pro side of things to reset, given he never really had a gap between playing and coaching in pro environments.
