Congratulations to Sharpe on a fantastic career. The Wallabies were..... (searching for the best adjective) the wallabies; and Wayne Barnes must need a new whistle- 25 pedantic penalties

Terrible game for mine.

It's the only time I've ever felt a bit sick after we've won. The boys have plenty of ticker, as Barbs said, but how about of game plan, system, skill and execution to go with it eh?
The lack of confidence to attack with purpose is well ingrained now. Classic example when Pocock made a steal on our 22m, Phipps gets it, and kicks it out 10m upfield. We had at least a 2 men advantage on the short side. From more structured play we are just too static and lateral (when we actually move). Contrast to the occasionally adventurous play from Wales from deep in their half. We have players that should be able to make play like that.
And when we make a break (AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)), his inability to pass to the right (or even look there) and the poor positioning by support runners on his left lead to a forward pass to butcher what should have been a try. They're all struggling with basics of making, and finishing a break. That used to be bread and butter.

Barnes kick ahead for Mitchell early in the second half with an overlap that went out nowhere near the man was a sign of just how dumb we are playing. Wales had two chips where they got the ball back once and very nearly the second but forced a Wobs error. There backs were also better at creating space on the outside.

Deans outsmarts himself with these stupid positional moves. Taps was superb vs the Poms but has been played in the stupidest fucking way since. You can see what Deans is looking for with McCabe at 12 but he isn't the man for it. Roberts has subtle line changes and can pass and offload that make him a bigger threat than McCabe is ever going to be.

This team is getting harder to watch by the week. If the cattle weren't there we'd have lost all four which makes it so much harder to deal with. They could be so much better.

I'll say the following, but please note that this comment excludes Nick Phipps:

Let us never again explain away our performances on the basis of "we don't have the cattle".

This tour has shown that despite all efforts to violate the game of rugby by a massive arse-clown coach, the players stood up.

They were taken on tour injured, played out of position, given stupid gameplans, left to run around concussed, and fed the worst quality ball ever delivered to a back line.

Last nights game was the first for a long time that had intensity, from both sides. No quarter given at any stage. And despite the numerous attempts to sabotage a game of rugby through poor ..... rugby, they found a way to get a lucky win.

Last nights win should be dedicated to the welsh player that kicked the ball to a desperate opposition with 1 minute on the clock.

If I was to sum up the wallabies attack over the last two season I'd quote Paul Keating when he famously said:

"It's like being flogged with a wet lettuce"

Who wants to defend Barnes?
Not content with again kicking aimlessly, his kicks were pop-gun like in power and distance last night.
Many of his fans underestimate just how much defensive pressure he places on his team mates with these aimless kicks.
One of them was a cross field kick to the open side that even stunned the commentators.
Imagine what Israel Dagg would have done with the amount of counter attack ball Barnes received with space everywhere.
Yes he kicks goals, and yes he has some ticker, BUT his decision making is just poor.
Can't remember when I've seen a Wallaby back have so many touches with so little impact.
Please don't rave about his cut-out pass before the try, he's thrown a hundred others beforehand that have seen team mates smashed, gone into touch, been intercepted, bounced or cramped straight running support.

Yep, the sooner Beale is back at fullback the better. Whether it be Lilo, JOC (James O'Connor) or Cooper at 10. Maybe even Barnes would be preferable given the unimaginative crap being shown by the princesses.

McKibon's trip to Wales was worth it! Didn't even get a couple of minutes.

Very disappointing. If it was Genia out there having a blinder, you understand. But it was Phipps playing poorly. IMO, it shows how terrified Dingo is of losing his job.

I actually thought Phipps was displaying some good attacking creativity in comparison to the rest of the back line..

Interesting that despite all the invective posts about the Wobs performance that 10 of the 16 players named in the Players Rankings v Wales have positive ledgers. Can't understand how Drew Mitchell has a negative ledger?

So, so glad the boys got the win for Sharpie. I was tearing my hair out thinking there was no way they'd cross the chalk, or even get a penalty to draw the game.

Fantastic to see Beale score after 13(?!) Tests without some meat too.

I'm guessing we've definitely got Dingo for the Lions and beyond now, but this seemed to be even worse tactically, positionally, and bench-wise than any other Test this year.

Why were Taps and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) swapped? Why was Taps taken off? Why was Douglas taken off for Dennis? Why was Robinson taken off so early? Why wasn't Moore starting?

I know we see these week-in, week-out but I was holding onto the hope Deans would get hooked after the EOYT.

The reality is we're stuck with him and short of having brilliant individual players back on board we're basically no chance of beating the Lions.

PS I didn't mean for this to sound so downbeat - I am genuinely happy we beat Wales.
