Well our finals hopes are well and truly done for, the Cheetahs are ahead of us on 46 points and have the bye next week meaning we cannot catch up to them, even if they lose to the Blues this week.
Can only blame ourselves really, we lost to the Cheetahs at home and should have won, but signs are definitely positive. Now let's put 110% into smashing the Reds next week!!

Time for the Tah's to prove themselves.

The Schoolboy Tahs showed how to beat the Red hoardes from our North at the Aust Schoolboys Championships on Thursday.

Time for the Grown up version to do likewise!

Interesting that they had a question in there about who we would like as Head Coach for next year. I considered putting Michael Foley just to mess with them.

Haha me too! But was wary that they'd think I was serious. The part that was fun on that question was the reasons for choice.

Berrick Thanks for your services. You've been a great player but its time for Japan.
Kingston so much promise yet to deliver, hopefully the Rebels can bring the best out of you. Not your best game tonight.
Based on tonights game Brendan McKibbon you better lift your game if you want to start next year.

Ok that's the sanitised version that a drive home has tempered.

Bring on 2014. Enjoyed watching Skelton tonight.

I thought Berrick had his best game in 3 years for us last night, aside from the botched penalties and drop goal. Good running and put the ball out in front of the man. All the best in Japan, take care of yourself and your family.

Thank you also Tom Carter. No one outside of the team really knows how much motivation he brings, and we will be poorer without him in the squad next year. 2 tries against the Lions isn't a bad way to go out.

Thank you Cheik for giving us positives to take from every game this year, thats more than we had last year - a few tweaks and changes and a good preseason and we will be a serious force to be rekoned with in 2014.

ive heard from more than one tahs player that he actually isn't really well liked, I think theyd be happy to see him go

According to their twitter account last nights I think you'll find it's #believe2104.

Failed again tweet-dude.
The girl with the thumbs behind the Tahs social media could be Nicky Drinkwater. Don't think it's really fair to give her hell over that, surely not the only person in the world to have mistyped on an iPhone keyboard.

Thats interesting actually, I've heard that he takes the pressure off younger guys in the squad by putting himself up for abuse and sledging by the opposition (the example I was given: Tommy Kingston was run over by Rene Ranger in his debut, and TC started niggling Rene to take focus of Tom Kingston)

I think you are way off.
I'm not a fan of his,but I observed in the few training sessions I have attended that he was very popular with his peers.

just retelling what I was told directly from players, may be a case of I just managed to know the few in the squad that don't like him.......but I doubt it, he comes across as such a dick on tv that its not very hard to believe people would have a problem spending large amounts of time with him every week.

I have heard from unrelated sources that he is a bloke loved by teammates and loathed by opponents.
If your sources are from Shute Shield clubs other than Uni that may explain it.

nope theyre from tahs squad members, both current and past. But again may just be that I know the couple of players that don't see eye to eye with him.

Anyone know who's part of the squad going to Argentina?

Has it been confirmed the tour is going ahead?

I was told the Tahs were planning to go over to Argentina for some warm up matches against the Pumas before the Rugby Championship. The team will probably be made up of non-Wallaby 2014 contracted players plus some guys from the Shute Shield => like the squad for the Force and Lions games.

Apparently, they can't be called the Waratahs as the Super Rugby competition will still be on while they are over there. Last I heard, one of the games was scheduled for August 3.
