Predictions for this weekend:
Shore vs Kings - Hearing there are a few changes for both sides out at Parramatta. Kings have been struggling this year and will be without NSW 12 Will Davies. This means Kane shifts to 12 and young Hugh Yates makes his debut at 15. I'm tipping Hugh to star for Kings, a juicy talent. Shore are the much better side but have come
up against two tough opponents. My tip - Shore by 12
Scots vs Riverview - Haven't seen Scots play this year but from all reports it could be a Team of Champions vs Champion Team type of much out East. I believe Scots have the talent to win the comp but it's up to them to steal
it from New. Scots will just get up over a tough View team - Scots by 8
Newington vs Joeys - Stanmore will host the official 150 year game for Newington who will go in almost unbeatable. Have been by far the best team this year and could very well put a cricket score on Joeys. However from all reports the boys in pink have been training the house down. Gonna show me pink and blue colours and tip - Joeys by 3

Sorry that FW has been out of action for a while, but as you may have realised when there are no GPS games being played I go into a state of hibernation.

As we go into the third GPS game of the season, it does seem clear that Newington have put their hand up as competition favourites, with Scots hot on their heels. Having said this, complacency will begin to become a factor in the race for the sheild. Teams like Shore who are renowned for their ability to upset a competition favourite will come into their own at this uncertain stage of the season.

Predictions for the weekend-
Shore to get up by 10 against Kings. I like that Kings have shifted Kane into 12, but I still don't think they are a strong enough team across the park to cause any serious damage.
Scots to be too strong for young Riverview team that is still yet to find out what it takes to be a champion team, perhaps waiting until next year.
Newington over Joeys. This will be the game of the round. Newington have put a target on their head with this early season dominance and no doubt every team that goes up against them from now on will treat it as one of their biggest games of the season. Newington will expect this and will prove to be too classy for a handy Joeys side.

Peace, FW out.

So Linden Deans must be injured - how long is he out for?

And Makasini replaces Curtin - Joeys don't lose a lot there; they are both good players.

Good to see Bailey getting a shot in the Ones - he's a pretty versatile player isn't he?

It will be interesting to see if Joeys can compete in the scrums against the big boppers of New - and the same remarks about the two midfields.

It's the game I wish I could get to today. Will be looking forward to the reports. Two very well coached teams, who both play the game as it should be played.

Can somebody please acquaint me with the rules regarding the permitted location of a GPS Coach during the game?

32-22 Newington over Joeys. Didn't get to catch the last 5 minutes but Joeys scored 17 points in that time. All reports are that Deegan was incredible in both attack and defence. Hope Scots can get up over Newington next week and spoil their party !
37-12 Kings over Shore in an upset.

Big turnaround by Kings after a couple of big losses. Shore now 0 from 3.

Joeys v Newington sounds like it was a great match.

Why is a Scots party better than a New party?
