If your copping that sort of abuse and you go up 22-5 can hardly blame them for firing back, happens on every level of sport so expect nothing less from 16/17 year olds. Was at the game and thought Padua were going to blow them out but Ashgrove put on a forwards clinc in the 2nd half. twenty metre driving mauls, pick and drives and starved Padua of any ball or territory. Thought Padua were shook up by a bit of blue before halftime, either that or just thought they had it won at the half and werent expecting that much of a response from Ash.

Ashgrove #1 who I heard was an Australian schoolboy (can anyone clarify) did more talking than playing, was outplayed by his opposite. Tried to start a fight almost every 5 minutes. Will get what's coming to him

Very much doubt he was an Australian Schoolboy, he had a good crack though and in the end I think that Padua were out off by it all. Ashgrove has avery intimidating home ground. The big grand stand makes it feel all the more real and the support group sing all day long. Though their performances have been waning recently, they are still very much a part of the Ashgrove community with people always talking about the performance of the schools rugby team. Enough to make me watch them instead of my local premier club.

On another note I noticed Ashgrove lost their starting Number 8 in the opening minutes and his replacement was more than apt, extremely impressive forwards display from ashgrove with their loosehead, second rowers blinside flanker and replacement no. 8 putting in some very hard yards.

Any updated predictions on the AIC team based on current form? I hear there's only going to be one team this year...

I can confirm that Marist's #1 is not an Australian school boy

Am hearing reports that Jack Cronin of Marist will be making his debut for the Marist 1st XV this week in the second row. Can anyone confirm?

Its not up to the referee to shake the coaches hand , It needs to be the coaches who approach the Ref . Just basic manners and a rugby tradition. Dont bag the Ref, thats just an easy cop out .... they do it hard enough

AIC 1 Predictions. As a Scout, its pleasing to see this year the fight that every team has been able to give in comparison to previous years. As i know AIC rugby has always been a strong competition, this years boys have definitely been a standout. I have specifically been following the Ashgrove games with one of the most dominant forward packs of the decade. These boys have not been able to get where they are now without the brilliant work from head coach Dr Jon Fitzgerald and the outstanding head of sport Sir Philip Holding. Dr Jon Fitzgerald has had many requests from the Australian Rugby Board (ARB) for the head Coach position of the Qantas Wallabies. As well as, Sir Philip Holding being scouted by Nudgee College for the opening Principal vacancy.
Marist College Ashgrove is promising to be the best sporting school in the future on top of the already almost perfect aggregate position.

More importantly AIC predictions as followed;

1. Jack O'Connor (MCA)
2. Finnegan McGrath (MCA)
3. Boyd White (MCA)
4. Daniel Byrne (MCA)
5. James Lancashire (MCA)
6. James Ryan (MCA)
7. Callum Kersley (MCA)
8. Pat Beveridge (MCA)
9. Stephen Gill (Padua)
10. Jayden Carroll (IONA)
11. Yatsby (Iona)
12. Felu (Villa)
13. Regan (Pats)
14. Seb Fahey (MCA) Debatable?
15. Clifton Setu (Eddies)

Please like, subscribe and comment. Im starting a youtube channel soon called The Life of Jon, should be gooood.

Gee FFF another example of ashgrove nepotism (club included). We do want AIC to actually beat GPS and have a decent representation in the QLD schoolboys teams dont we???

Your off your head mate. There is no chance the whole ash grove pack will be in the team. 1. Because there are much better players
And 2. How do you think that will go down when every coach goes into the selection meeting
People to look for are
Iona #1 dom ding well
Iona #7 zac Mullen (best 7 running around)
Pats #3

I think he is taking the piss Rugbyboot and Ruckhudson. I'm sure no one is really going to give an accurate selection for AIC. It's just school kids trying to stir everyone up or selecting their mates/fellow players.

I think you find that Florin FlomFlom selections are tongue in cheek. The whole pack from a team who has lost 2 in 5 won't be there.
I would suggest Lancashire would be the only sure thing from ASH.
Eddies 3 a 6 will gain selection and dingwell from iona will be there or about.
and yes the 7 from iona has great feet but i thought his name is collowingwood?

I heard that Padua have cancelled all their buses to Eddies on Saturday because they don't want to be smashed. #Undefeated #6-0

Have Padua got a strong 16's?I know that their 15's went through undefeated and I've heard they have some pretty big boys. Pat's also have a strong under 15 age group but this year for some reason dropped off by a far distance. Ashgrove 15's came 2nd but when I saw them play and they had no big guys and none of their players stood out, and to win AIC you need a couple of big guys on your team. SEC who finished 3rd had a bad season compared to them coming 1st in yr 8 and yr 9, they have an effective forward pack but their back line cracks under pressure.

eddies 15's are saving up until firsts 2015

Hard to pick an AIC start 15, not that many sure things, which concerns me because I don't think many QLD schoolboys will come from AIC schools this year. Best chances in my opinion are:
Dan Byrnes (2nd row)
Clifton Setu (fullback)
Tom O'Toole (prop-.. Still hasn't turned 16 so might be a year off still)

Can't see anyone else troubling the selectors at the next level.

Spot on BTS they are by all accounts the 2 most likely from AIC for Qld .....O'Tool is still a year too young but he has had some strong games this season
