I wouldn't be surprised if Beale hasn't been canned yet due to concerns about his welfare if he was.

Quade still pays the price for laptop acquisition but his biggest issue in the 6 years since then was sending some tweets.

JOC (James O'Connor) has had some issues with police but most of his stuff is just being a dickhead.

Beale on the other hand has been charged with assault twice and gone the punch on with team mates twice. That's what we know of. What happens to Beale when he can't "settle" before trial or such?

As I've mentioned before, any other workplace in Australia and he would be instantly sacked after this issue, with police called. To be fair we still don't know the entire picture of what happened, but based on what we've heard.

The other side of the coin is from Patstons view. You would have to imagine she'd have the most open and shut case to sue the ARU (or whatever the protocol would be). Only female staffer on plane, possibly physically threatened, Beales track record. ARU would be open to a lot of issues as a result of this. I'd imagine the culture and conversations amongst a rugby team would create a slam dunk case at the best of times, but if you actually wanted to run with it......

What if THIS was the reason for the quagmire. Female staffer tired of 4 years in rugby culture, takes opportunity to snap, demands she's leaving, threatening to pursue legal avenues. Link realises he needs to manage that situation more than attend a training session.

This would result in Link and a bunch of other staffers, probably players as well, getting fired (maybe not immediately), not to mention the impact on next years campaign.

All hearsay and speculation, and I like the "eddie jones at the reds" based theory better in terms of likelihood, but you never know.

Unfortunately you are miles away from reality in your line of thinking here, but keep guessing.

Seriously, her Linkedin profile was wrong. Clearly she's a liar, a cheat, and everything else under the sun and clearly it's all her fault.

Poor Kurtley has been caught in a mess, none of which is his own doing, yet again. Fuck the bloke just has some bad luck.

Wouldn't that be fortunately?

Never said it was happening, just floating a realistic idea. And while it might not be what's actually happening, but it's not unfounded in reality. If you want to try it out take a few cartons and a rugby team to work for a few days. See how that goes.

Well I've cracked it.

Had a quick look at the LinkedIn profiles of some of the GAGR community.

Reg's profile says he stopped writing in March 2011, which he did when he went to the Reds BUT the GAGR site shows 33 articles published under the same account since November 2013.

THESE ARTICLES ARE NOT MENTIONED ON HIS LINKEDIN PROFILE!!! GUYS!!! WHAT IS THIS!!!

Was Reg on the plane? Why is he so keen to hide his current GAGR articles a secret? I thought these things were legally binding?

Obviously not a KB (Kurtley Beale) Fan...

Why, after an argument, would someone be sacked? I don't want to work where you work.
Why would you call the police if I said "no" to you? Don't ever ask me if I want a cup of tea then.

Why did the senior player group jump quickly to KB (Kurtley Beale)'s side?

I honestly think that the only thing you got right was the comment on JOC (James O'Connor)

I think you misread what Thinker wrote............

He was referring to the fights.

from the whiffs of "news" and "fact" coming out on this, Link would not survive a public enquiry / mediocre scrutiny - my mail is that he has lost the respect & trust of the senior players - he can talk the talk, but has recently failed the walking the walk test. The words nepotism & patronage keep bobbing up in relation to Patson.

But then again as with any royal commission, it will come down to the terms of reference. You only ever get the right answer if you ask the right person, the right question!

Stand by for KB (Kurtley Beale) to be made the scape goat.

Gareth should have put one on his chin and it would have been solved and kept in house. Kurtley may have pulled his head in on that occasion and continued to play for the rebels. As far as the other incident with Vuna goes, Why did he go running straight to social media?
The assault charges were exactly that, charges, and never convicted. Either case, as the article says, thrown out or dismissed as in no case to answer.

Yes, Kurtley has said something to someone that has got their nose out of joint. Maybe the truth?

I put these back as someone who does know KB (Kurtley Beale) and knows that he can be a right punish sometimes.

Either way Slim, If you keep scratching the same spot, eventually you will draw blood.

If we are to the stage where we come up with unlikely situations then how about a player currently making a fortune that has already been assured of a contract in the NRL on great money is asked to make bad publicity for the ARU in a week when league is assured of positive publicity given t is grand final week.

This player who already knows he is going to make a lot of money next year takes an opportunity to snap at a comment by the racist upper levels of the ARU management structure and leaves the game because he is misunderstood and makes a compensation claim against the ARU so he will get a nice nest egg all the while sending a message to ATSI Rugby players that they are not welcome and should play in the NRL.

All the above was in jest to show how out of control speculation can get

I am starting to have my doubts about Link, but if you are the playing group and you lose respect/trust in your coach, to have enough credibility not to sound like a pack of whingers you have better play with a healthy dose of courage and heart and not like a pack of dickheads (see Mendoza). The Brumbies of 2004 got it right.

What happens if Link has lost the playing group, then a new coach comes in, and then doesn't work out either? Then you're left with a bunch of players who have too much power and sway.

ARU needs to strongly back Link. Ultimately there cannot be a change prior to the World Cup and they cannot afford to pay him out. Back him until his contract is out and re-assess then.

Players may cause trouble/not perform, etc. if they think they can ride a coach's tenure out. No player can afford not to knuckle down across 2 seasons though as they will likely be out of contract in one of them.

this is sounding like it's going to go a lot deeper than KB (Kurtley Beale) being made a scapegoat..Link is more expendable than half a dozen senior players who potentially may choose to side with KB (Kurtley Beale)..I wonder if Cheika has had a 'just seeing how things are' phone call from the Pulveriser yet..

In news just in the ARU has decided to withdraw from RWC 2015 because they don't have matching shirts and they can't get a coach who gets on with the senior players and can win games.
The art of coaching is to keep the 10 blokes who hate you away from the one's who haven't made up their minds yet.

so at the risk of sounding like Sir Humphrey Appleby, why in the name of all that is holy, did they call in the integrity officer? The credibility of the ARU is already wobbly.

@ TWAS & @ Forcefield both have strong arguments, but change is required.

The solution - a new structure for the wallabies - it works for the leaguies all the time - they introduce an independent layer of over sight for club coaches all the time.

For this one - everybody looks like a knob if the whole truth ever gets out.
