apologies - bit off topic but I think this needs some attention and this forum attracts a bit traffic -
as much as we all love QPR, spare some thought for our State Womens Team, who are being asked to fork out $1000 for the honour of representing our state! I came across this issue via a friend, who informed me that several aspirants for the team were being asked to 'unlike' or not share the following article. It's a good read, very passionate and maybe a bit biased from the writer but very interesting and disappointing state of affairs with for our women. Its an easy comparison but while sports like RL pour money into womens participation, RU in comparison base the participation of players in their national tournament on the size of their wallet.

shameful.

absolutely shameful.

QRU hang your heads in shame.

Sunnybank take on Brothers then have the bye.

Souths take on Norths then GPS.

Bond take on Wests then Brothers.

Souths will be hoping that Brothers win both. Souths can easily sneak into the top four.

Souths will be dangerous if they make it but one loss and they will be touch and go to make it.

Filth I don't think Souths & Bros can both make it, unless catastrophe hits Easts, Uni & Snbk.

I don't think Bros can make it unless they beat Snbk this Saturday - mathematically maybe if they lose but I think they'll need the confidence boost if they are to beat Bond, Easts, Uni & Souths in the run home.

BTW Filth I think with Greene back if your forwards get the better of Snbk you will win.

Am I the only one thinking Sunnybank are sitting precariously right now?

From memory their last 5 games has gone L-W-L-L-D (or somrthing like that).

I think after round 11 the top 6 teams can afford to drop the following numbers of games respectively and finish in their desired position.

TEAM; to finish in; Further Pts Reqd; Afford to Drop No. of games;
Easts: 1st; 17; 2;
UNI: 2nd; 18; 2;
Snbk: 3rd; 22; 1;
Bros: 4th; 23; 2; (Bros have had their second bye so have 7 remaining games)
Bond: 4th; 26; 1; (They will need mainly 5 point wins)
Souths: 4th; 27; 1; (They will need mainly 5 point wins)

Clearly though teams will want to take winning form into the finals.

Will your team stack up over the remaining 7 rounds?

The RUN HOME:
TEAM Rnd 12 (H/a) Rnd 13 Rnd 14 Rnd 15 Rnd 16 Rnd 17 Rnd 18

TT surely you aren't really saying that Uni hopes to finish 2nd at the end of the season?

GPS and Uni. I heard Greene is back for Bros but Filth may know better. From Uni's FB page:

We have a massive weekend ahead for the Heavies who travel to Yoku Rd to take on GPSRugby - the Gallopers in the Annual Halley Appleby Memorial Trophy. Premier Grade will be looking to continue its winning form and will again be bolstered by the services of Queensland Reds; Dave McDuling and Scott Gale. The Gallopers will welcome fellow Queensland Reds Marco Coetzee and Saia Fainga'a into their pack.

Definitely not Cat_A the purpose of this was just setting up scenarios.

Clearly both Uni & Easts will have aspirations for the minor premiership but I think the main objective for both our clubs would be to feature in the major semi.

The result of next week's fixture will go a long way to determining who wins the minor premiership.

That being said it is not just a two horse race for the minor premiership with the table as tight as it is, but Easts (9 points) and Uni(5) have nice little buffers over Sunnybank at this stage but those margins can change very quickly.

Good luck to all involved in the Halley Appleby game today. This is a wonderful way to celebrate the life of a great young man whose loss saddens all in the QPR community.

Congrats to the Gallopers for getting it together today v Uni.

Bros won't give up with a good over Snbk - Snbk are officially in a slump.

Well done to the Bulldogs over Bond.

Must have been a cracker at Courtney Oval Sths 32- Norths 27

Points table after round 12
Easts 42
Uni 38
Bros 36
Snbk 33
Sth 32
Bond 28

Souths 32 v Norths 27. This was a game Norths could have easily won, only 1 conversion, 15 really poor mintues at the beginning of the second half absolutely killed them. Hendrick Tuai was sensational, tackles busts would have been in double figures, Souths were very good at times however would not be happy with the overall result. Unfortunately for Norths that is the last we may see of Hendrick, his effort lifted the overall Norths team, what an example of how sharing class Red players around makes to the overall comp, earth to Ballymore its not rocket science.

Very pleased with Brothers win yesterday. As we all know Sunnybank are a very tough team to play, especially at home. Taniela Tupou and Mitch Felsman both scored excellent tries.

Bros v Bond.

Easts v University next week. You should draw thousands to this game, TT! Should be a cracker. A brave man would put a bet on, but I think the Tigers will get the chocolates.

Easts will remain undefeated until Round 16.

Well done Filth I honestly thought your guys would turn it up after losses to Easts & Uni at home but they have hung tough so can't be discounted.

Easts have a tough few before round 16 Uni, Sths, Wests.
