Watched the game last night and NC could not win a line out and knocked on too many balls. Can't really say ACGS won the game it was more a case of NC lost the game. I think NC would rate that as one of their worst performances this season.

Now that's an interesting assessment. ACGS must have just had a lucky day then.

You really do think that's objective and balanced? Like ACGS really played little part in gaining a 20 point win over NC at their famous home fortress, that happening so often of course? The same NC team that Sage and others here were hailing from just one week before.

What would you estimate ACGS's territory and possession %-es for the 70 mins to be? Did they convincingly get across the gain line often?

Do "worst performances", knock ons, lost line outs, only arise from a top team like the invincible NC having an 'off day', thus only rarely because the opposition successfully applied relentless pressure and better skills?

Before Nudgee decided to transform from a high school to a casualty ward, I'd say no.

There's always at least one school where they drop like flies each season.

That being said, I've never seen a team lose as many as Nudgee have this season.

5/6 out with flu, Moseley out with a season ending injury, Meni missing games, Gavin Luka probably out for the season (curious the Schoolboys didn't address this - they probably know something we don't), Tupou only 50/50, Rangihuna and Verryne going down on the weekend.

To describe the number I'd have to use the old imperial measurements - it's somewhere between a shit-ton and a shitload, nearly at the threshold of "totally f******"

I do not want to take anything away from Churchie as they fully stuck it to NC, BUT I've had a chance to digest it, mull over it, and that would have to be one of the lamest performances from a Nudgee 1st XV in a very, very long time. To show my age their scrum had more reverse gears than an Egytian Tank, surely it's got to be a record number of tight heads by Churchie, I knew NC scrum relied on Gavin Luca but wow.
In the backs Tony Hunt has fully deserved his call up for higher honours and well done, however the churchie 12 had the outside boys wanting to attend choir practice rather than tackle the bloke, bit of soul searching before TSS boys....

Nail biter u15 GT v IGS on the weekend. The GT and IGS games against Nudgee should be rippers!
Bring it on....In all seriousness though, NC 15s are down a few players, admittedly nothing like the firsts. Definitely a defining time for the NC lads who haven't dropped a game since U12s.

Yes it was a complete reverse of form from the team that shut BBC out of the game the week before by controlled aggression, near perfect execution and water tight defence. Hard to gauge the ACGS BBC clash this week but based on recent form and injuries it will be ACGS by 20~30+

That said I think ACGS should be complimented on the way they played - I reckon the front row were outstanding as were the 8-9-10-12 and a good performance from that combo will win nearly every time

Haven't had a chance to watch the Nudgee/ACGS game yet. King/Sage or anyone who saw the game, were Nudgee just that bad on the day or were Churchie just too good on the day?

When you loose a prop, second rower and flyhalf, you know the match
is all but over.
ACGS is definitely Nudgee's boogie team.
Four lineouts and three scrum tight heads showed Churchie's dominance.
Verryne #5 ankle injury triggered a change in momentum of the game.
Uncharactristic knock ons and missed tackles made it impossible
for Nudgee to narrow the deficit.
Full credit to ACGS pressure and defence.

I was impressed by Croft, Su'a, Papa, Macmillan and Mason.
Only one team showed up to play rugby last Saturday.
Churchie were mentally focused and intent of erasing the TGS loss.
In contrast, Nudgee team seemed complacent and paid the price.

If they play like that against TSS, it will be a Gold Coast massacre.
Can they lift against the premiership favourites?

NC 2013 Old Boy Richie Aitsi is in line to become the youngest ever debutant for the PNG National Side this weekend.

Not too shabby for a guy who I don't believe even made the Queensland at school.

He played his Rugby at Wests this year

Just for balance re extensive notes re NC's injuries: ACGS had one of its best backs out all match v NC, and very early in this match its no 9 went down with a leg/knee injury and did not return.
