Poor poor Liam Gill.

Does he have English, or French or Scottish ancestry? Utilise the 7s loophole and run mate, you're an absolutely fabulous player, but you're still never gonna get a look in ahead of Pocock or Hooper.

It actually pains me to watch him, he's such a class player. You know he bleeds red and would represent Australia with the utmost form and all his heart. Just ain't meant to be.

Don't think me death-riding Pooper, but, with the way they play and in hard Tests, it's London to a brick that one will be injured for a good period....and the window will surely open for Gill.

Yes Liam Gill is a capped Wallaby, if he wasn't I think he had USA and possibly Scotland lineage.

Even if he didn't he's played a buttload of Sevens which locked him in.

If he had links to elsewhere, he could utilise the 7s loophole to switch sides though, given he's played at 2 comm games they couldn't possibly deny a switch on the basis he wasn't a genuine Olympics chance for whomever he'd go to.

Benches have been emptied now, players are looking pretty exhausted and games turned a bit scrappy.

Tongan Loki hobbling off with what looks like a knee injury. Disappointing end to his night. Was looking good I thought

Scotland would be out of the question. England being the highest ranked British team won the right to represent GB in Rio. The Eagles may be an option. But he'd need a US passport to be eligible.

I was talking test rugby, if he hadn't been capped fro the wallabies.. But yes I agree on those points

I don't know the specific rules around the Home Nations and qualifications and all that. Since everybody is eligible, I wouldn't see why if he chose to play for Scotland 7s, he wouldn't be allowed to switch to team GB and Scotland full time. But that'd be an issue for world rugby to work out, although denying a GB eligible player on the basis it was the wrong nationality wouldn't go down well.

USA certainly.

There was an agreement between the three British Union on the circuit that the highest ranking squad would assume the 'Team GB' mantle as to avoid any contention regarding the selection of the squad. It was heavily skewed in England's favour.

The Eagles would likely be interested in him if he offered his services.

Brisbane City won 29-16 over Perth Spirit in a very entertaining match..

I definitely think it's improved over last year, it's still been run at a hectic pace and speed but skills seemed to be bette then last year.

A very good way to kick off the season, and if the rest of the matches are played like this one then we're going to have some very entertaining games in 2015!
