Just a bit to play for, should get a decent crowd if they're serious about showing the powers that be they deserve to stay.

Could be a tricky one for the Brumbies coming against a team that will have plenty of motivation.

Ref: Glen Jackson
AR1: Brendon Pickerill
AR2: The Hoff
TMO: George Ayoub

I don't really want to see any changes to the Brumbies lineup or Fardy stripped of the captaincy, but I assume Carter will be back.........

Carter will be back, Godwin and Smiler are injured. Butler to 8 and maybe JJH to 12, since he did score there last year and knows the way to the line.

I must put my hand up in bemoaning Carter the past few years, however he has been great this year. A damn good captain as well, despite Fardy's 1 from 1 record, although the Rebels v the Hurricanes in week 2 would of given that Reds team a shake up last week. haha

Wheres Ant Fainga'a?

I was quite impressed with Andrew Smith last week. I really thought he was a 13 and nothing else, but he did some very good things at 12, and looks to offer more of a threat there than does Godwin. I won't be entirely unhappy if he gets to start this week.

So currently not reading rugby stuff during the day. Too depressing when at work.

This game:
1) Brumbies run riot, massive bonus point win and really sink the sword into us Melbournians.

2) Rebels show some fucking heart, play like they did against the Chiefs and Tahs 1st half and come away with a win.

If RUPA was serious about being upset they would get all players to wear black arm bands this weekend.

A team faced with the uncertainty that confronts the Rebels could respond in either of two ways; adopt a siege mentality and go all out mental to get the win, or simply give up the ghost and compound in a heap.

The way this game pans out will say a lot about the players and team dynamics of the Rebels in their present circumstance.

Could be a very tight game with a possible Rebels' win on the one hand, or a big blow out win to the Brumbies. I'm guessing the Brumbies will turn up to play after their impressive last outing. The question is which Rebels' side will take the field?

There's still the fact tho that 16 players are out injured. Resistance will be met by cohesion and quality. Just looking for a gutsy performance and if we win that'd be fantastic. Plus if I don't talk it up now, it'll soften the blow if we lose and make it that much sweeter if we win. :p haha

I wouldn't have been surprised if Smiler had have been rested this week anyway, regardless of his hamstring. It would have been about his turn I'd guess, and Butler had a strong second half against the Reds. Expect Fakosolea to return to the bench? Other good options in Hyne and Cusack. The Brumbies are very strong right throughout the forward pack this year.

Smith looked more than ok at 12 so that's not a surprise. Would think Dargaville will come back into the starting side in place of Banks?

It would be in breach of the CBA for RUPA to ask players to do this.

"A petition is close to the strongest action RUPA can take to try and protest the action, with the current collective bargaining agreement preventing industrial action.
As part of the current collective bargaining agreement, players have agreed not to take any organised action such as a strike, meaning the threat of any major player action would be minimal.
While the agreement allows for individual players to take action or protest initiatives of their own accord, they couldn’t walk off the job in disagreement."
