Hope 7TWO get this idea of giving all the teams some coverage out of their system soon. They're doing Eastwood (3) v West Harbour (10) next week (probably a slaughter) when Manly v Wicks and Southern v Rats are options and then the following week they're doing Easts v Gordon (from Orange, so what!) instead of the top of the table Manly v Norths who will probably both still be undefeated. Weird!

Like a couple of weeks back when they had Manly v Parramatta on. IIRC there was a better game on that week and yesterday should have been Manly v Woods.

But it's better than nothing.

Not sure that the all-team coverage idea is all down to 7TWO?

But whatever the reason, or the impetus, for this to happen, I am glad that it does. Good for the game in one way, the alternative would mean that the lower teams would just never get into the limelight.

It frustrates the hell out of me,as its natural to want to watch the best game each week.
Normally I despise quotas, but I actually support every team getting at least one TV game.
It's literally 4 games out of a season.
I can live with that.

I've been told that all club players are actually contracted to the ARU. Does anyone know if that's correct?

As far as I know they are registered with the ARU, as they have to fill in the standard registration form. Whether this is what some people are calling a "contract", I don't know.

Surely most club players wouldn't have a contract in the professional sense, but just the rego form?

Looks like Manly's year to me!

(Just trying to apply the kiss-of-death before next week, Dave ;))

Coach the seasoned veterans have shared some of the secrets, but you can see the team work and chatter involved here.

You also get to see some of the structures, and lines used on the hot plate to enable speed and execution so there is limited wait time.

A contract requires "consideration" from both sides: what do the ARU give the players? (keep it clean)
Have to be void!!
If not its likely they've breached it as they have every other agreement they've signed or come to in the last little while

The consideration is presumably that the player gains the privilege of being officially allowed to play rugby, under the auspices of the ARU?
