Thanks again Tashara - averaging 47 points for and 7 points against they are going pretty well.

What a coaches nightmare - where will current 1st XV fullback fit in to this back line in 2 years time?

The same things were said about the BBC 15A last year until NC gatecrashed the party(after the hooter).
This year we will be quietly waiting again at Ross oval round 6 .Keep blowin your horn.

And we all know the TSS 16 A in 2018 will have more more new boys than a Manus Island admin centre-just look at their 16 A this year-nothing like last years 15 A.

Nice highlights but I am going to warn you not to bet your house on a premiership in 2019 just yet. From memory, the current BBC, GT and NC open group also dominated their age groups in u15. Then in u16 they didn't quite get the same results. In the early years, they had more key players who had matured earlier than others and did enough damage to get a roll-on for their team or stop the opposition in attack. As opposition teams caught up in size, the easy wins disappeared. This BBC team has skill but they also have 6-7 players who are stronger creating the space and time for that attack. The others will catch up.

Your memory seems a little dusty there Dusky - the current BBC Opens were always a mid table team as they were coming through the under age groups

And Nudgee were 1 of 2 teams the smart money was on at the start of this season , and so , for those that went the Blue and White as far back as U15 , good news , your house is safe

In what you have posted you seem to have more than a casual familiarity , however , for some balance in perspective when viewing that team in the highlights (above)

1. They finished 3rd the last 2 x years behind IGS and BSHS respectively

2. There is 1 x new back

3. There is 1 x new forward

If anything they have had the growth and development internally off a skill and ability base they always had to now " catch up to the others " as you and others put it

Let's leave the A boys alone for a sec and look at a bigger picture . This year level had 4 x clean sweeps in U13 ( with a 13D Premiership ) and 4 more in U14.

They have had 2 x clean sweeps in 3 rounds and now have a 15F team - which might be a first at this age group level at BBC .

The B's have quality players who are capable of challenging the A boys - and they will also be in the mix, along with the C's and D's to be at the top of the table come seasons end

The high engagement in participation and equalling or surpassing GT and Nudgee on this factor alone - really says a lot - especially when you consider this was "the split year" cohort where numbers were always going to be lesser

So sorry to pop the hater " just you wait" bubble - they have been waiting for a few years.

Quietly

Brave prediction the last one. Agree with the first 3, but the last one Nudgee by 10.

NC off a bye round are not traditionally at their best, not to mention a vamped up IGS back at home on the hill, you have a recipe for an upset my friend, as well as this IGS now probably looking to ruin the party for the Boys in Blue and White

I think BBC are going to face some challenges. Their set piece on Saturday was poor and turnovers from scrum and lineout allowed TSS to mount pressure and keep the scoreboard ticking over.

Lack of depth in the backs is going to be a big concern and I suspect they will need to rest their 10, who seems out of sorts. I think he had been carrying an injury and has played quite bravely considering but looks like he needs a break.

Agree-Not the same player who starred at nationals

He still looked pretty slick considering some of the forwards went absent for BBC or were found out at this level.

Plus he will probably pack on some weight pretty soon.

If he is on the field next year with the current backs and some of the forwards from the BBC 15a team, watch out!

There is no doubt he is a class player. Very good skills, vision and no shortage of courage.

Tipping TGS to upset BBC at Old Boys Oval this Saturday in similar fashion to last year when they upset the Premiership hopes of Terrace up on the Range.

I suppose that's schoolboy rugby. Big call, but a call nonetheless. Watch BBC last week and they won't be a pushover.

Agree that BBC need to be very vigilant or else their season and outcomes may be gone this year.

I thought the biggest problem for BBC was their lack of discipline. Way too many penalties and all too easy for TSS to slot another 3; can't win close games with that!

Other than that BBC looked pretty good. But they have looked good on paper for a number of years now, without getting the chocolates.
