    Subbies 2023!

They were also piggybacked by Tom Chadwick (who we have all had problems with before). Look at the bomb that Parfitt drops in the first half, all chasers are off side and don't retreat which affects the drop. Mountains score next phase. Etc etc But, congratulations to Blue Mountains though...

Thanks for the vote of confidence but just to dispel any rumours, Harlequins will not be applying to move to Division 2. We are happy where we sit for a while and believe it is the best way for the club to move forward.

Quinnies with the game of the year against Knox yesterday. The sizeable mean from Waterloo prevailing over the young Knox outfit 18-10. The game was in the balance until a try against the run of play with a few minutes remaining. I know people criticise Knox, but they run the youngest squad in...

Div 3 Predictions 1st Grade Lindfield vs UNSW Lindfield go through as undefeated premiers. They appear to have a balanced roster with a structured pack, playing off the back of their 10, with wide running backorders at 5 and 6 who use the space in the field very well. Lindfield by 7. Newport...

Division 3 First Grade Harbour v Beecroft - Harbour's 1-3-3-1 style has opened up most teams in the division. However, Beecroft have the speed and fitness to match them. The baby crofts are deadly in open play and can turn any chance into a try. They are split at one win each this year, but...

3/3 for the Quinns yesterday. Barker seem to be down on numbers and we were fresh from a month off the field. 39-14 win in 1st Grade & 30-14 win in 2nd Grade. The Easts colts also got the job done with a 50 point win in Nicholson. This leaves us in all three finals next week with 1st Grade...

    Subbies 2023!

I can't reveal my source but I have heard a very prominent and popular club in a lower division has forfeited all grades this weekend.

    Subbies 2023!

The biggest game of the season in Division 3 as Quinns travel to Barker in the last round. The game is set up perfectly for the neutral viewer, with the winner advancing to week 1 of the finals to face Knox. The preparation has been poor, with a forfeit, wet weather and a bye all tied in...

This sounds like a horrible division. Aren't these clubs forfeiting at the moment in 2nd Grade other than Renegades? 8x8x8 in each division may not be something that can be achieved straight away, but worked towards. 8x7x7 may be a step in the right direction for next year.

This is just what any club wants before the next two weeks are spent with a bye and a wet weather weekend.

    Subbies 2023!

I have looked at every card from the weekend to try to find comparisons for the tackle Ardi did in the Iggies match. I found this travesty in Hills/Briars 2nd Grade. Why does the game not rub these players out? I think an unprovoked stomping/kick to the head like this should be 12-15 matches...

    Subbies 2023!

Thanks for your thoughts. I felt our player eased him to the ground which would have made a penalty. There were 3 red cards in all top grade matches yesterdays. There was one at Mountains but the footage is unclear. This is red at Colleagues/Pats. I am not sure how I feel about it:

I was disappointed in this earning a red card yesterday. How is everyone finding the issuing of yellow and red cards this year?

    Subbies 2023!

Just got off the phone to Ben Waters from Colleagues and there was big controversy at Hudson Park. At the end of the game, Colleagues had a penalty goal to win the game. The referee put a counter on the GK to kick the goal (which is fair). However, the ref counts down abnormally fast. If you...

    Subbies 2023!

Our 3s put on an absolute clinic against Uni winning 40-14. Logan Melville is still one of the most dynamic and consistent players in Suburban Rugby. Mitchy Gibbs also had a few real nice touches and there is still some pace in the old legs. I think I would back our 3s against almost any 3rd...
