I agree, but I do love the idea of Thorne as an assistant coach. He will drive hard work and culture. Forwards coach would suit him best, which isn't ideal as I'd prefer Laurie Fisher in the role. But if Laurie turns it down I'd love to see Thorne there.

I hate to say it. But keeping Eddie might be a better option. If there’s a chance this RWC was a humbling and wake up call for him. A humbled Eddie could improve as a coach. clutching at straws I know.

I like Lonergan but he is definitely not in the massive and aggressive category, probably the complete opposite: small, skillful, and mobile.

Tates passing is still an issue, I don’t see him as a long term option. But he should own the bench spot. Crazy no-one has used him as an impact player from the bench yet. I think Rennie did it once or twice only.
