Indeed. Like all the posted lists of project 1sts/2nds for this year. That's all they are. Until rubber hits the road in preseason and trials games.Great recognition for the boys who played well in the recent u18 interstate series, but don’t read too much into it.
Classic Australian rugby move .. obsessed with reputation over merit … been happening for decades, nothings changed .Of all the really dumb things RA is doing, this is right at the top of the list. Imagine fixing your mindset on who the best 17 and 18 year olds are based on last season. Other than the select group based on form last year, no one has played a game yet this year. The games this team will play will be in September this year. Basically the geniuses at RA have deflated the motivation of boys before the season proper has started. They’ve said, we don’t care how you’ve trained over summer, we’ve got our team. Bad luck if you were injured last year, or a late developer. We’ve got our crew. If you are serious, best you head OS, league is an option for you as well. of course they say names will be added but few will be and I’d wager none will be deleted. The selectors are human, changing the mind for most is very difficult. We were already going too narrow too soon, this just makes that problem worse.

Gough is special, I know two NRL scouts who have Gough on their radarI think Gough from Joeys would be in contention as well

He plays as the Left Winger for Ignatius, now in his second year on the 1st XV squad. Furthermore, I believe he has represented NSW in the U16 Waratahs, but i am not certain.Who is Thomas Hartman?

So I gather not much has happened. Still getting these nonsense posts. So old….Recent news out of hunters hill, Dubbo prospect no.3 Chris Quinn has reportedly been tearing it up at training and the internals on the weekends, including a cracker game against barker. Gen Blue selectors have given him a call and will be further looked at for the upcoming season. Could be a lethal duo with no.8 Justice Taumoepeau and in the gen blue later this year.
