    QLD Premier Rugby 2016

Did Greene play yesterday? I don't think I saw him take the field. However I had graced the bar a few times so my view of the game could have been impeded...

    NRC onwards and upwards

Off the top of my head Taranaki, Manawatu, Bay of Plenty, Otago and Tasman are the unions using the Variations in Premier Grade if anyone was wondering.

    NRC onwards and upwards

All of the above I believe. Though early response from NZ Premier Rugby is that most of the laws are pretty awful. Absolutely no contest in the rucks and playing a lot like League, with lots of wrestling trying to hold players up, one up forward running, etc.

    NRC onwards and upwards

Last time I checked only the Heartland Championship was changing the points scoring system. Only thing that M10 Cup is changing is laws on breakdown and tackle area.

From what I can gather, QRU had the streaming service booked for the Souths game already, so they couldn't move it. But Easts just plain refused to move their games.

No I'm pretty sure you don't have to drop a player in any circumstance anymore.

    QLD Premier Rugby 2016

I think the biggest problem is that some people just want to win. And they will do anything to make sure they win. Having appointed or independent sideline officials would scratch those problems out straight away.

I'm pretty sure that's always been the rule if you start a game uncontested. However it has changed that during the game if you go uncontested you no longer have to drop a player.

It really is a no brainer... But when have the high-up rugby people used their brains???

    QLD Premier Rugby 2016

I did see that, and the props were being subbed at an unbelievable rate when the Souths scrum was getting demolished. From my knowledge the only person who has any control over subs is the Referee, and the QRU doesn't retroactively look at in game issues other than foul play. I think all...

    Reds 2017

I don't like the idea of him anywhere near the Reds administration. There's a reason the Force took so many Queenslanders when they started. I'm sure many haven't forgotten the fact that while serving as Reds Captain he actively recruited Queensland players and schoolboys to join the Force. I...

Not Having a go, but I think you might have the butcher-stripe tinted glasses on... Just watched the stream and from what I saw and heard from the ref all cards were fair and by the law. Matt Mafi (BROS) gets a YC at 24 minutes for a neckroll; no arguments; WR (World Rugby) directive that dangerous play to...
