    Sydney Subbies 2016

Christian Brothers Old Boys, links with Christian Brothers school St Pius X at Chatswood. Changed their name to Bothers about 5-6 years ? ago. Had good lower grades about 8 years ago but lacked a good enough 1st grade. A benefactor has thrown money at them and they have acquired a good 1st grade...

    Sydney Colts - 2016

Does anyone else think it "odd" to go public with a new coaching structure and list coaches except Colts 3 and then say if anyone is interested give us ring?

    Sydney Colts - 2016

That depends on how you measure success, sure a premiership would be expected but I think an ongoing pipeline of committed, talented players coming into your senior grades would also be considered a success.

    Sydney Colts - 2016

EASTERN SUBURBS MAKING WAVES IN PROGRESSIVE COLTS SYSTEM. Eastern Suburbs may be Sydney’s oldest district rugby club, but in season 2016 the club will look to funnel an abundance of resources into its newest recruits at Woollahra Oval. Easts has announced the launch of a new colts program for...

Interesting release from Easts appointing a full time colts director/coach. Upping the arms race a bit

    Shute Shield 2015

I thought Colts 3 was U/19's and the "4th" level was U/18's. Curious how this fits with the award descriptions above? Tks

    ISA Rugby 2016

Came down to the last game Pius vs Auggies, whoever won the game won the title: Auggies won the game. The Pius No 10 Dom Easy is a standout player and should be in the mix for ISA next year.

Confirming that Brothers played 4th and 3rd grade, got belted, so they forfeited 2nds which meant the retroactive forfeit scores for 3rd and 4th grade.

    Sydney Subbies 2015

Looking at the results this morning, did Brothers forfeit all grades except 1st and colts ?

Why will there be a parent/teacher revolt, what are the issues?

    Sydney Subbies 2015

I have put forward the model before where your teams play according to their level not where the club over all is placed. Sydney AFL have adopted this model and works ok for them. Pluses: Teams generally play in a competition suited to their level. New teams and/or additional grade teams...

    ISA Rugby 2015

Absolutely agree that ISA needs to go to a 6 team home and away plus semis comp. Have never seen the sense in playing 5 or 6 trials then a 5 game season. Unfortunately Pius cant handle Div 1 (in opens at least), just don't have the depth, it has become a soccer school. 4 XI teams vs 2 XV...

PFitzy I think your other finals predictions may be out of whack. Isn't 1 v 2 and 3 v 4 in week 1?

I believe the score was 50-17 in favour of Auggies, also a couple of red cards handed out

Our guys were the same, mostly long time players ex first grade (past their prime), but as a club administrator at the time, it papered over the cracks of a longer term problem. Changing local area demographics, declining player numbers and just waiting for players to just walk in the gate.
