Bledisloe #1 New Zealand vs Australia, August 7 2021

Wonder if that's part of the reason McReight is on the bench. There may be a lot of penalties earned by jackals in this game, and he's is one of the best.

Bledisloe #1 New Zealand vs Australia, August 7 2021

Because we don't have a large population of black African descent. Its no coincidence that our first 800m finalist in 50yrs is of sudanese descent. And before anyone pulls the race card there are several robust medical papers that look at the biomechanical reasons why persons of this heritage...

Bledisloe #1 New Zealand vs Australia, August 7 2021

Petaia is an immense talent but has been a bit patchy between injuries. If there’s one benefit to this suspension debacle it’s that Jordie has an opportunity he may not have otherwise had. Hope he has a blinder and forces his way into the starting side when koro returns for game 2.

    Wallabies 2021

Geez they had a few beers in their room. No one would bat an eyelid even if it did come out. It’s not like they’re hiding a sexist, misogynistic or homophobic scandal that the press loves. Nothing to see whether they act on it or not. It’s only an issue in the press because they banned the...

    Wallabies 2021

Depends on leadership style and personality I guess. Dictatorship vs inspirational leadership Letter of the law vs mentorship Some need the former. Some respond better to the latter Don’t know the players involved or the exact circumstances as wamberal says so it’s hard to know but it does...

    Wallabies 2021

Against a 3rd string French side not the ABs. I just don’t think the punishment fits the “crime” I accept I’m in the minority but I think there are other ways to make a point/example of those involved. Unless they are repeat offenders which there is no suggestion they are. And of course Rennie...

    Wallabies 2021

Teams like NZ have the depth to rest a player as punishment - there’s a queue of willing replacements often with little impact. We don’t. Our wing stocks are pretty thin at the moment Resting koro without a world class alternative definitely punishes the rest of the team and the supporters. It...

Wallabies v France, Brisbane, Sat 17th July, 8pm

Red card reversed on appeal. Shoulder to shoulder contact with mitigating circumstances. What a shit show world rugby refereeing is at the moment.

Think it was Valetini - not releasing. He carried it in and still had it when the whistle was blown. Ref pointed to Philip though but he never had the ball.

Don’t think he’s commenting on the contact at all. Just saying if he’d made a better tackle we wouldn’t be having the discussion. I tend to agree. Tate planted, stopped and waited for the contact. And got munted. That close to the line you want to be driving forward in the tackle.

Wallabies v France, Brisbane, Sat 17th July, 8pm

Surprised as well they didn’t look at it. But I thought the contact was chest without a raised elbow (it was pointing downwards) and then his arms were lifted whilst in contact to shrug Tate off/ backwards rather than a strike. But who knows.

Wallabies v France, Brisbane, Sat 17th July, 8pm

Yeah I thought a penalty and not a card but it’s a lottery and could have been anything depending on the referee and TMO in the moment. That’s the problem at the moment - there’s no consistency. The same offence can be anything from ignored to a red card. Will be interesting to see the...

Wallabies v France, Brisbane, Sat 17th July, 8pm

Yeah fair enough. From memory I think it was a bit more borderline and almost simultaneous but consistency would be nice. I thought the error was in the RWC call not the one last night.

The atmosphere was fantastic - the crowd was really going off. It’s such a good stadium. Just wish we had a few better chants than Aussie Aussie Aussie.

Wallabies v France, Brisbane, Sat 17th July, 8pm

Confirmation bias - The press grabs the still that supports their belief. From the front angle the contact with the elbow and forearm was on the chest and below the chin. The arm then slides up and pushes the head back

Not sure I understand what you are getting at. MK was so bent at the waist his upper body was almost horizontal?

Wallabies v France, Brisbane, Sat 17th July, 8pm

Probably got a bit to do with lockdown in two of the biggest cities with not a lot else to do, and a closely contested series with a decider. I think a lot of casual fans can’t be bothered watching another drubbing by the ABs.
