    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

Any time someone starts or ends a sentence with "FACT" you know they're talking out of their arse... I like what McKenzie is doing, but the reality is we've just not seen enough of the Wallabies under him to make much of a judgement. The Wallabies got smashed all through the RC last year under...

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

Perhaps a friendly wouldn't be. But the first of a rare three test series isn't a "friendly" by any measure. A friendly is what the socceroos played against the South Africans at ANZ in front of 50k in a dull ass 1-1 draw.

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

Look, I'm just trying to work out how all these people in Sydney and Melbourne are managing to afford it... I just didn't know Brisbane's population was mostly students.

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

@Brumby Runner, Exactly mate. Wallabies are on a hiding to nothing with some fans... I mean FFS, they say they don't like watching them because they're not creative, and now they're complaining that their opposition isn't good enough because the wallabies carved up France and scored at will...

Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

That's really impressive considering what a poor ground that is for Rugby Union/League. Justifies the ARU's decision to play it there. Still - shame that AAMI park can't be upgraded to 40-50k

Shit, so everyone is Brisbane are broke-ass students are they? Damn... must have maxed out those credit cards to go to Origin 1 then.

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

Didn't the Wallabies beat France in Paris 59-16 whilst Deans was coach? I know it's a popular thing to bag Deans, but sometimes it's a bit silly... as though the team didn't underperform under every other coach before him after MacQueen..

What's your theory then? Perhaps Qlders are just saving their pennies for Origin 3? As everyone else has pointed out here, these prices aren't really unreasonable - particularly for a sport like Rugby where the core audience is generally middle class.

I reckon that this will just reflect on Brisbane more than anything, as it's looking like they'll close to fill the SFS in Sydney for their test. Perhaps it'll just mean that in future they just won't take these games to Brisbane, but rather somewhere else. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

That's a very poor sign for the ARU and Australian rugby in general really... if people will happily go to watch the socceroos play a meaningless 1-1 draw in a friendly in greater numbers than they will to watch the Wallabies play the opening test of a 3 test series against a top tier country...

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

Agree 100%. I'll happily fork out $100-150 for a test footy ticket against a big side. The analogy of movie tickets is a fair one too - you can spend $50 to go to the movies these days just for a bigger chair, so it's not all that nuts to ask for what they are for a wallabies test. People are...

All Blacks v Poms, Test 1 Auckland

They probably did outplay the ABs, but that isn't always enough. We easily outplayed England on last years EOYT but it still wasn't enough... The question I have is if England couldn't beat the All Blacks when they're playing incredibly poorly AND while dominating them all over the park, then...

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

May well be true. I noticed for the Sydney game the cheap seats sold out long ago, meaning I paid $100 for my cat B ones. Not that I mind. I'm by no means wealthy, but it's so rare to get a test match against a top tier team at the SFS that I just had to get them.

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

$55 isn't much. You're watching a test match and that's only about 2.5 times the average club match ticket... As I said, we didn't know how France would fair until kick off. They came out under similar circumstances a few years back and gave us a mighty big fright - like England did to the ABs...

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

Is $55 really that expensive? Origin tickets were selling for about $350 and they sold that out. You can talk about the French not being up to standard, but we didn't know what they'd be like until kick-off really and if anything there were more doubts about the English side, and look what...

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

Good first up hit-out for the boys, even if France left their hearts at home. Thoughts on the performances: TPN was at his combative best and it we're lucky we have such a good replacement for Moore, but the stocks thin out pretty quickly beyond that. Foley and White both proved why they...

All Blacks v Poms, Test 1 Auckland

This England series is going to be very interesting, but I think the English players and papers may be getting a little ahead of themselves here. The critical point I think they’re missing in claiming their 'moral victory' is that England dominated all the stats, but still failed to actually...

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

Not sure tbh, but I do know that only the expensive tix were left when I checked the other day. I expect it should be a full house thanks to the fact that it's being played at the SFS - which rarely gets big wallaby clashes and is WAY better for footy as a fan than ANZ Stadium. Sent from my...

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

At Suncorp I've often thought anything but a full house would be a disappointment for a clash against any big international side...

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

Even so, a crowd in the 35k region is pretty poor against a side like France... The tickets can't be worse than Origin and given how rarely you get to see matches like this it's a poor sign for Australian Rugby that so few Queenslanders want to see the Wallabies play such a big team.
