    The Wallabies Thread

I'm pretty sure it's just Cheika, there might be other guys in the room but there would be only one voice.

Can I ask (because I'm not sure) but is Uelese has been back from injury? Hasn't he been back for a few weeks now (and it was only a minor injury iirc). If he's back he hasn't taken that starting position back from Rungi, he's not even in the 23. Like he wasn't even playing Super last year...

    Hurricanes v Reds

Dillyboy right now. @Reg, if that's the logic why start Stewart at all, surely if you were trying to protect him you'd bring him off the bench?

    Hurricanes v Reds

Just curious is there anyone here who, given we are starting Stewart, think Lance should be starting at 10? Like I would be on board with having Stewart come off the bench at half time or something given it's against the Hurricanes, but he's starting!

    Reds 2018

Clearly Thorn is planning some mighty ducks esqu transformation where they bring Quade into the side. The Reds then go unbeaten the rest of the season and win 2018 Super Rugby! And Quade leads the Wallabies to a Bledisloe Cup win!

Yeah, I'm not sure when he made the transition. I wouldn't say it's too late for him at all. He's quite clearly a very capable fly half at U20's RWC he was one of the most composed fly halves playing there. If you can find it those U20's games were really illuminating to just how good he could be.

I'm not saying Kerevi is a good defender -- only that he's better than Beale. But perhaps it's bias but my eyeball test says he's not actually a bad defender -- at least most of the time. Like I have said when Beale tackles you, you are getting over the advantage line, when Kerevi tackles you...

    The Wallabies Thread

I think the difference is when Kerevi does tackle you, you are actually tackled. Beale -- not as much, even where Beale does make a tackle it's seldom a dominant tackle. But if we are dealing with the numbers (I'm using FoxSports Stats because...). I think average numbers are typically better...

    Reds 2018

I think the most optimistic would agree we aren't likely to play finals football. With potential wins against Waratahs, Blues, Rebels, and Sunwolves. Considering the cluster of teams between 25 and 23 points (Rebels, Jaguars, Bulls, Sharks, and Stormers) they should nail down those last two wild...

One thing to keep in mind with Stewart is he's still learning how to play fly half originally he use to play flanker (explains his defence and love of hitting rucks!). While it's obvious he's got the instinct and vision to play fly half he's still learning his trade -- even just as a back...

    Rnd 13: Sunwolves v Reds

It wasn't the AWFU game from the Reds -- it wasn't good, but I think too many people are judging the game only on the outcome. Boys play reasonably well, Sunwolves just had the bounce of the ball (and whistle) and played out of their skin.

    Rnd 13: Sunwolves v Reds

I don't know about all officials, but at least the TMO and the main referee. I think we really need to bring in a second on field referee and have the touch judges as a lesser position. It's a big ridiculous that Gus Gardner in running the line and we are having other far less qualified referees...

    Rnd 13: Sunwolves v Reds

So having just watched a replay of the game, I actually think the Reds shouldn't be too upset with that game. The result yes, but the actual game despite some obvious issues that they have had all season and are slowly being addressed, they didn't play like a team who lost 63-28. Bottom line the...

    Reds 2018

RUPA is the Rugby Union Players Association. But I'm not sure how they are the problem. For those saying our young kids aren't cutting it -- who do we have that is better? Rodda, Tupou, and Timu are borderline Wallabies starters. Koczyck, Scott-Young, Wright, have been in or around the...

    Reds 2018

Maybe we could try looking beyond the carpark. Haven't watched the game, but am aware of the outcome. I don't know that the coach is the problem, I think Japan have been targeting that game for a while, and I'm not sure that the coach is the problem. The Reds are a ridiculously young team (and...

    Reds 2018

I wasn't meaning teams haven't tried to put him under physical pressure, they have. Because Beauden's so physical it's hard to find a flyhallf who can actually put him under that kind of pressure. Foley, Sexton, Ford, Jantjies etc -- they aren't the most imposing of players, the Lions didn't...

    Rnd 13: Sunwolves v Reds

It's almost like their only job is to go to training and games! But seriously, wasn't their mum sick, from the way it was written on the Reds website it sounded more like that than 'I just didn't fucking go'.
