Oh, I don't disagree at all with this, but if we drill down to the reason we have the two crash ball centers (and Kerevi is starting to look like an inside center) is because Lance forces our hand, if we played Quade, Stewart, or Paia'aua at 10 we would have no problem playing some other...

So I guess the first question(s) is, is Lance viable; is Toua viable? The if we answer no to one or two of those the next is who comes in to those positions? I personally think both could stand to be replaced towards the end of the season. If you were to take both Lance and Toua out I do...

Nah, I don't think Paia'aua is a good choice at 15, when he played 15 last year (I think just the one time) he was quite average, he doesn't inject himself enough and besides the real problem is with 10 not with 15 (not that Toua is ideal in any event). What you could do is Paia'aua at 10, Lance...

So apparently Thorn was pretty clear, Quade (and Hunt) aren't coming back. I know there is some tension building in the QRU around the Lance/Quade situation, but nothing too serious yet. Lance is starting to become a hard pick to justify when you look at the alternative.

He came on for Perese, so likely Toua to 14. Could be Lance to 15 and Stewart to play 10.

I'd say if anything Wright has been slightly better given we expect Hooper to be outstanding. It's scary that the Reds have both Wright and ASY (Angus Scott-Young) who are both in that same space and very very young. They'll make a really nice backrow pair in a few years. Think a lineout jumping Pooper!

Reds come out dominate possession and build a handy lead, cap it off with a push over penalty try! Reds by 10.

Haha, well that implies that Foley is doing some of the playmaking. Maybe Foley is the playmaker for the second half. :P

So is Foley actually even playing 10 anymore. At what point do you just give Beale the 10 jersey?

What does the Brumbies playing quite well against the Highlanders (at this point at least) mean about this game? Edit -- and the Brumbies are bad again...

Conversely, if the Reds don't make too many mistakes it'll be pretty hard for the Waratahs to win... That is to say it's hard to score points without the ball. I think the difference between the Rebels and the Reds is that the Rebels haven't really shown that fight to get back in a game...

Dude, heaps of people have been talking about Tui being a Wallaby 6 since like June Tests last year. That's hardly conclusive evidence. But regardless I'm not, I don't post on /r/rugby.

Yeah I was surprised they didn't pluck Mr 'Best 5th Prop In Super Rugby' Fa’agase to start, although even then you'd still not get much ball running. Whereas Ruan is at least capable of getting over the ball.

That's what I would have done. Then you'd take Hockings/Blyth too. I'm not sure how much Petaia is going to give us, if our backs are touching the ball and it's not from an offload we probably aren't playing as effectively as we should.

I actually think Hooper's been very average this season. Maybe it's just bias but while Hooper has moments of brilliance the last time I through 'fuck he's had a good game' with Hooper was early 2017. I do really rate Wright, I think he's edging closer to a look in for the Wallabies Squad (both...

What do people think about Tui playing 6? Is this a prelude to a long term move, or only a stop-gap measure due to no Higginbotham or Smith? Is this Thorn trying to get Tui a Wallabies Jersey?

Rodda should have no problem. Douglas has actually been pretty good even towards the end of games this season. Short of injury, I don't know you'd really want to take Rodda or Douglas off late game. Tui is a question mark but he's probably had sprints the whole 3 weeks he was out so fitness...
