    Wallabies world cup squad selection

Yeah I'm interested to see how Fat Cat turns out, but if he's fit enough he'll go. Robbie wouldn't leave him home.

    Wallabies world cup squad selection

In my opinion, the following players are definitely going to New Zealand: Hookers: TPN, Moore, Fainga'a Props: Alexander, Kepu Locks: Horwill, Simmons, Sharpe, Vickerman Flankers: Elsom, Higginbotham, Pocock, Hodgson Eights: McCalman Scrumhalves: Genia, Burgess Flyhalves: Cooper, Giteau...

Australian Schoolboys and National Championships 2011

I thought he played #13 last year for BSHS? Could be wrong though, that's just where I recall him playing. But yes, I agree that he's an exceptional all-round player and that's exemplified by his ability to play wing/centre/fullback with tremendous impact. He's incredibly fast and strong, busts...

What are the qualifications for each of the 3 levels?

    Tri Nations Game 3 New Zealand v Australia - Saturday 6 August 2011 - 3N2011

Well for a start, Deans has said on multiple occasions that the game plan is to 'play what's in front of us [The Wallabies]', so we can establish that there's not a whole lot of structure. We know that the Reds had a basic gameplan that had margin for error/room for movement/some degree of...

I know he does a lot around the park, but he can't be everywhere Barbarian!

    Tri Nations Game 3 New Zealand v Australia - Saturday 6 August 2011 - 3N2011

There's our problem right there. We have a national coach who doesn't actually coach. Our strongest forwards were Horwill, Higginbotham and Simmons- surprise surprise, all Reds players. Thank God for Ewen McKenzie, because Jim Williams has no fucking clue whatsoever. Useless, completely and...

The positives & failings from Bledisloe 1 2011

-A midfield bomb that gifted the All Blacks the ball. -A flick pass to O'Connor that nearly let in a try. -A pass to Beale that was intercepted by Conrad Smith. -Poor decision making in attack and defence. What else?

Trinations Game 3 New Zealand vs Austrailia Player 3-2-1

    3. Horwill 2. Ashley-Cooper- defused bombs, chips and was brilliant in defence. 1. Ioane HMs: Kepu, Alexander, Moore, Genia

    Rocky Elsom professional camper...

If we want a loose forward playing blind, then make Higginbotham our #6. He's quicker, fitter and a more effective ball carrier than Rocky.

    Tri Nations Game 4 South Africa v Australia - Saturday 13 August 2011 - 3N2011

    1. Kepu 2. Moore 3. Alexander 4. Simmons 5. Horwill 6. Elsom- not because he deserves it, mind you. 7. Pocock 8. Samo 9. Genia 10. Cooper 11. Ioane 12. O'Connor- I think he should be here. McCabe is underdone internationally, should take pressure off QC (Quade Cooper) and Turner brings real pace. 13...

The positives & failings from Bledisloe 1 2011

    1. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) played well. I know a lot of people will disagree, but although he was given virtually no ball in attack he had a brilliant game in defence. He was there for every chip kick, regathering perfectly, often just him taking on 3/4 AB chasers. 2. Alexander stepped up. I'm not a fan of the...

RWC 2011 France or England? (If we make the semis.)

Was talking to a couple of mates today, and we all agree that the team most likely to knock the Wallabies out are England. They just know how to play us. So, in that respect I'd rather play them in the QF/SF than anyone else. It's a massive hoodoo- they knocked us out in '03 and '07, currently...

    5th Bench Spot - What's your preference?

The idea of the bench is to provide cover for our starting XV, so that's how we should use it. With only two backs on the bench, one of whom will be a specialist #9, then that leaves one player to cover 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15. The only player who comes close to providing that cover is AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)...

    Aussie Baa Baa's Vs Canada

    Possible team (assuming TNP, Horne, Mitchell, Fatcat and Palu are all back): 1. Robinson 2. Polota-Nau 3. Alexander 4. Sharpe 5. Timani 6. Hodgson 7. Robinson 8. Palu 9. Phipps 10. Barnes 11. Mitchell 12. Barnes 13. Horne 14. Turner 15. Gerrard -------------- 16. Hanson 17. Daley 18. Wykes 19...

    Tri Nations Game 3 New Zealand v Australia - Saturday 6 August 2011 - 3N2011

Agreed Groucho, and it's not really that preposterous to suggest that our Connolly 2006-07 team was a completely different era from, less than 4 years after Connolly left. 1. Dunning vs. Robinson 2. Palu vs. Moore 3. Baxter vs. Kepu 4. Sharpe vs. Simmons 5. Vickerman vs. Horwill 6. Waugh vs...

    Tri Nations Game 3 New Zealand v Australia - Saturday 6 August 2011 - 3N2011

Sharpe's 40-odd tests ahead of Vickers, and he's more of a "leader". Wouldn't be annoyed if Vickers took his place though, on his day he could be the best lock in the world.

    Tri Nations Game 3 New Zealand v Australia - Saturday 6 August 2011 - 3N2011

I see your point drewprint, but I think we need his experience in the 22. With Rocky likely to come off late during the match, in addition to his suspect captaincy ability, Sharpe's 95- Tests of experience may be exactly what we need.

    QLD Premier Rugby 2011

Not surprised that Michael Bermingham played well. He's been in the NTS program since 2008, and played in the BGS 1st XV in 2009-10. He made Australia 'A' last year and was rewarded with a Reds Academy contract this year. One for the future IMO.
