He's not. Teaching at BSHS, not involved in rugby at all. A lot of the general MCA community quite at upset at his treatment by the new dictatorship, sorry, hierarchy at the school. If he reads this thread we all wish you and the family well, and a speedy recovery for Mel. State High have...

    AIC Rugby 2022

MCA drew 12-12 with Joeys 2nds today. Joeys looked more dangerous in attack with more clean breaks but Ash scrapped well in defence. Disjointed in attack though. Dominated scrums which was pleasing, lineout still needs work. Hard to read too much into it. 7 best for Ash.

Post on the AAGPS thread. Looks like ASH will be playing Joey's 2nds. Getting excited, I have just seen the Joeys game schedule for Saturday. Looking forward to a packed day of good rugby at The Park, the rowers lot for lunch and hopefully a cold can of beer or 2 with mates at Jack's to finish...

And how do you know that?

Awful's a bit harsh. First hit outs are always a bit rusty. Definitely some positives - coming back from 19-5 down after letting in 2 long range tries in 2 minutes the boys showed a lot of character. Agree 12 was best on field for MCA. Pat Tierney played well at 10 and Barry at 13 was solid...

That's my mail. Word is they are playing the 2nds though, which is disappointing if true. Marist Canberra usually play Joey's 1sts each year and normally cop a pasting, I think 2 wins in about 40 years, but hardens them up for their own comp.

You haven't heard bar of him because it's BS, Quick check of the Water Gush squad confirms that. Looks like the Villa dribblers have dropped the baton and the Padua boys have picked it up and run with it. Amusing though.

Thanks Drewprint. Yep, Looking forward to that match up. I knew #12 Mikael Ibrahim was backing up. Wasn't sure about #13 Woods but cheers for the heads up. Both had cracking years this year, great combination and caused headaches for all teams they faced. Tasman Barry will move from the wing...

    AIC Rugby 2022

You're right Analysis 101, been far too quiet. I'll throw in my 2 cents. Will be an interesting year. Marist have quite a few boys returning, with strong contributors from this year Harry Gould in the front row, Pat Gavin in the 2nd row, and Condon, Barry and Tierney in the backs. 2nds won a...

    QLD Colts 2021

No. The younger half are still 17 next year so will be u18 in 2022. Call me crazy, but why isn't there an u18 comp? That will allow those boys from PUBLIC schools who would still like to play rugby who don't get to compete in GPS/AIC/TAS comps who are not up to colts level to showcase their...

    NSW CAS Rugby 2021

Well that settles the argument. Well, maybe if the 2004 Eddies team got beat 46-0. 2005 was a different team and even Eddies have been known to have weaker years. No saying they would have won the Waratah in 2005 as they weren't offered the chance. Nor were any Canberra schools since then. If...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2021

Not 100% true at all if State High allowed their boys to trial. Terrace did too in 2019, not sure if they did this year. I know at least 1 BSHS boy made QLD1. and seeing as there were 10 in the Met East team that went undefeated - drawing the final with South Coast - pretty sure there were...

Ahh Faddi, Seems the word "weak" is a dominant one in your vocabulary. Will probably be reflected in your ATAR results this year too. Love it, keep stoking the fire lad. No doubt plenty of 1st players from other schools will read this and it will fire them up for their Villa game. It's what...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2021

On Terrace, they seem to be written off this year, yet this age group has always been pretty strong for them I thought. Quite a few u16's played in the 1sts last year and will be back this year. No David Vaihu's to speak of, but predicting Angus Munn to be possibly the standout forward in the...

true dat, maybe not that much but wouldn't be close. Maybe level up the playing field and all boys on rugby scholarships at GPS schools aren't permitted to play. Make it interesting don't you think?

Old mate Japie has released his top 20 schools of 2020. Apparently not enough played in SA this year so didn't include any SA schools which opened up a few positions. BBC top of the Aus pile unsurprisingly, but no AIC school this year (ASH was 19 on the list last year). Guy does his homework.

Not entirely true. At least 3 from the current year 11 have been picked up by GPS schools over the years.
