    Sydney Subbies 2024

Mate, try the Epping/Eastwood/Carlingford area. Once rife with junior clubs (Epping, Hillview, North Rocks, Dundas Valley to name a few) stacked with age groups, now only one (two if you count Ryde). Rugby was thriving in the area. But there is a reason why Eastwood is moving and there are...

    Sydney Subbies 2024

I’m hearing a bit of trouble for a few mid division clubs. Some struggling to secure colts, some struggling for grade players, some struggling for quality. Could be in for an interesting March, given we already have division 1 and division 2 draws. The new tackle laws will be interesting as...

    Shute Shield 2024

I believe that the press from the club and Batger was all about Ben wanting a new challenge and further himself as a career coach. I’m sure Eastwood would have been a bit miffed that he ended up at East’s, but that’s the new nature of professional Shute Shield coaches. With all the departures...

    Shute Shield 2024

Id say so. Given every club needs to appoint a full time coach for Shute Shield. Are you going to get a full time coach (given they can’t work other jobs) for less than $120k?

    Shute Shield 2024

Rugby news reporting Harry Wilson to Easts. Not surprised given his brother is there and Batger as well. Rumour of Tane Edmed leaving Eastwood for a new home as well.

    Subbies 2023!

Pats and Petersham have taken the Subbies meeting hostage until their demands are met.

    Subbies 2023!

Discussion in the Australian Rugby Shield chat about Brisbane Subbies being invited into the tournament after the Northern Territory pulled out. If Subbies put forward a rep team, who is in?

    NSW AAGPS 2024

Not true about Penisini. All three Penisini boys went through high school at Kings and the Eels didn’t pay for all of them. not saying that they didn’t contribute, but they didn’t pay them. Souths helped the Sua'ali'i family out with costs and others school related expenses.

    NSW AAGPS 2024

Are you taking two 7s in the squad? I wouldn’t be. And Marshall is still working towards the level that Durbridge is at. Jono Ryan tough selection call. I would have picked him as 6/7 cover

U18 Academy Games and Australia U18s

Can’t understand how the standout player in the beat team in the AAGPS competition wasn’t selected….. covering 10,12,15, Fakafanua should have been there

Is that a definite? Haven’t seen anything about it yet.

    Subbies 2023!

Congratulations to both teams on a ripper of a Kentwell Cup final. Well done to Blueys on their maiden Kentwell Cup. Solid recruitment drive with players 1, 2, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 16, 19 having had recent Shute Shield experience, as well as players 8, 13, 15 playing semi professional rugby league...

    Shute Shield 2023

Waiting until after the World Cup. Allegedly their name is involved at Assistant Coach level and it would cause disruption to name them before hand

After we fill a 10 team Division 1, could @Prodigy modify this plan for Division 2 down?

    Subbies 2023!

With a whole off season to go, I'm going to sell you my proposal for Division 1: Division 1 (10 clubs - 4 grades and Colts) Pool A: Blue Mountains, Forest, Hunters Hill, Lindfield, Mosman Pool B: Colleagues, Drummoyne, Petersham, St Patricks, Waverley Home and away for your own pool in Rounds...

    Subbies 2023!

Congratulations to Newport on what is, probably, described as a major upset. Personally the Woodsman thought that UNSW was the only team that may challenge Lindfield for the Barraclough, however, this Newport squad is resilient and tough. Will be interesting to see if Lindfield can complete the...

    Subbies 2023!

Not how its working, allegedly. It will be 1 v 4 (Lindfield vs Hills) and 2 v 3 (UNSW vs Epping) in a fortnight and the winners advance straight through to the grand final. Not sure why they wouldn't follow the path of the rest of the division, but hey.... that's Subbies.

    Subbies 2023!

It does suggest that the two best teams in 3rd grade don't matter. And Lindfield will play Newport in colts. Uni's colts will be at Rothwell..... That's a conundrum
