I heard that Wynnum Bugs are looking like fielding Colts next year....possibly even looking like having the numbers to fill two teams. Lets hope the QRU get behind them so they can play together at the same venue and giving them a chance to play at the same grounds as their seniors, it may...
Or with the new engagement laws convince those who were too scared of the hit and chase to consider scrummaging again. Not meaning to have a go but understandably those in the lower grades who have families to support were being conservative in not wanting injury from the hit and chase which...
Have you ever had a go controlling the game yourself TT ??? Maybe if more people with such intricate knowledge of law and comp rules like yourself got involved rather than those who were hopeless players so took up the whistle the pool of refs would be a lot stronger.
Anyhow rather than complain...
I heard the hype around these two teams and was very let down by the talk. The BSHS forwards are not monsterous did not dominate or display the ability to build phases to set a platform to attack off but agree #12 a standout as a very balanced ball runner creating something out of nothing. The...
I am thinking of heading down to Fursden Rd to watch the BBC BSHS action this weekend. Has anyone got any insight as to the games of the day??? Looks like 13As is being talked about but is there any other evenly matched games in B,Cs and times i should be there to watch.
I get it and disagree whole heartedly. A whole of school aggregrate is fantastic as it gives all the kids in all the games something to play for. And means more emphasis on supporting the lower grades. I know it is a really important thing in AIC and witnessed the 1st XV get there early to...
Kids learn from very young that rugby is played for fun but its more fun when you win.
No matter if there is an official premiership or not everyone playing knows exactly where they sit on the "table" every game (especially in GPS rugby).
Even in club under sixs where there are no premierships...
My ealier post seemed to dissapear asking on the decline in BSHS rugby not sure if upset one of the private school old boys with influence.
As I said they used to have D's even E's from 13's to opens but now struggle for B's....any insight??
hence the ref alerting them to this by calling use it (they did not set up an intentional FW and unlike from a PK they are not at pace) and they react by front man detatch....play that on... into the defence; set up new maul, quick ruck ball, offload into an unstructured defensive line. doubt...
The ruling according to the law book should be a PK against team in possestion. The guidance gives the opportunity for the attacking team to use the ball they rightfully won and accidently got into an offside situation due to the action of the defending team. Good call i think.
If i was a coach...
help clear a debate please??
at a conversion kick can u start the charge standing between the posts???
i always thought you couldnt but on looking in the law book i cant find mention of it.
Maybe you iona boys should just keep a lid on it. I am not sure how you have come up with this team but if you put that on the paddock you would not win a game. Also the teams who talked it up on this forum the most last year seemed to perform the worst so play smarter not harder yeah??
