Sadly there appears to be a lot of pre match gloom and doom on this forum and in some of the media re the Wallabies chances of pulling off a win.. Last year at this venue was a tight game and I agree with ACR in not expecting any different this year.
I believe it is more to do with the occasion. It's entirely a team decision and even the coaching staff have no knowledge of which Haka is to be performed.
A haka was only performed when touring right up to the late sixties or into the seventies, [can't remember exactly when they started doing it in NZ]. Mind you they were probably too embarrassed to perform it in New Zealand. It wasn't until Tane Randall said that if it was to be done, then it...
The Welsh fans thought they were short changed on that occasion and were booing in the area we were seated in. Apparently the AB's wern't unhappy in performing a Haka in the sheds and were quoted as saying it made no difference Like many of you I'm a tad haka'd out. Every sport seems to have...
I agree. Hansen is building depth in those positions fortunately. Carter has expressed a desire to be there in 2015 and I think Hansen will nurse him through until then. How big a part he plays is another matter. I'm more concerned that we may lose Nonu and Conrad Smith.
I think you are right on the money there, Cruden may well be leapfrogged by both Barrett and Taylor. I'm thinking we are kicking too much at present, hence the high penalty count. England never looked like scoring a try. Their cleanouts at the ruck were very good but otherwise I don't think they...
Dispense with the touch, clutch, and kiss at scrum time, reinstate the scrum to what it was before the pc brigade got hold of it. Oh, and bring back RUCKING.proper rucking I mean, not this namby pamby sooky nana nonsense we see now.
He might not want to box simply because Joseph Parker will be waiting for him. If he doesn't defend the title he burgled,he will have to relinquish it anyway. There are two heavyweight titles in NZ, SBW has one and rising young heavyweight Joseph Parker has the other. Parker would thrash SBW...
There is a reason for this Shiggins. New Zealand is a very hilly steep country and most who are born there have one leg longer than the other to compensate for this. Rolling properly is taught at a very young age and becomes instinctive by the time we are twenty or so. This also explains why...
The All Blacks don't have to lie all over the ball Shiggins, they only do it to annoy you!
If you watch closely and can lipread you will often see them say "this ones for Shiggins":)
Fair enough,I remember the Govt of the day coming in for a heap of criticism because of those targeted raids. Nothing much was done about rounding up overstayers until the oil shocks of the early seventies brought the economy to a virtual standstill.
Aussies needed neither a visa or a passport and could stay as long as they liked back then. We are talking early fifties? I think the raids you are referring to were introduced in the early 1970's. But even then Aussies still didn't need a passport or visa and had residential status.
