Crossing over to avoid sidelining a rugby thread. Probably this discussion won't last long: Discussion started as World Rugby not permitting use of video regarding refereeing dicussions. I've suggested that "Fair Use" is not an easy pathway and asked if anyone had followed Rick Beato and his...
Title is obvious, be respectful where the courts are involved speculation is not welcome. But keep it out of the rugby threads.
Start here with Kurtley Beale:
Wallabies kick off their Rugby Championship with the first of a two test tour in Argentina with Cheka coaching the Pumas. Early start but not so early that most won't get up for it.
Some outline stats here https://www.rugby.com.au/match-centre/358/2021/358054?tab=Season-Stats
Reds unlikely to be willing to exit limply, but can they step up to a game in NZ against the Hurricanes?
Reds return to Lang Park for 7:45pm kick off on Friday 4th June.
Blues top the table, Reds have a 6 day turn around but are back home in Brisbane. Brad was disappointed with the bench and the opening that gave to an unlikely Chiefs come back. But we have our first Australian win in the TT...
Saturday 7:45 pm.
Form LL v WW:
Chiefs 40 - 19 v Brumbies at home
Force 19 - 20 Chiefs away, tight one with Force having most of the possession.
Are the refs appointed yet? Perhaps the Aussie teams are getting closer to clicking with the Kiwi refs. Brad wants to play the Kiwis - let's see if...
These guys could play rugby. It's Indian/Asian sport, sort of a cross between tag and Red Rover.
7 per side. One guy "attacking" (doubt they call it that) at a time. He has to tag one of the opponents, and then get back to his side of half way. So they dodge him till tagged then it is a 7...
It's time to open the conversation.
SRau has been superb and we are down to this. Always felt that whoever wins should have to defeat, in a knock out, the team that is palpably penultimate.
Think we got there.
Brumbies serious favourites, but who knows. We live in interesting times.
[Go Red]
Gold Coast is not likely to feel like a home game for the Force who face a Reds team who were running hard in Round 7.
Reds need to front up not relax, after that effort, but the task seems daunting for the Force who must surely pull a win soon.
Bring it on.
Rebels on fire after defeating the Brumbies. Reds on the rebound following a less than satisfactory game against the Waratahs. Fight for positionsin the finals, likely these two teams would be targeting second and third but last week was a real leveler.
Time to turn it up Reds!
cyclopath - given your medical background, what have been your thoughts here? In the digging around I have been doing (I am a science nut and back studying for my sins):
x It seems a good chance that a vaccine will eventuate but 12 to 18 months.
x It seems that social distancing and isolation...
Surely time to kick this off, 9:00am in Q.
Jaguares start 2020 season as highly favoured and will want to bounce back at home after a tight loss to Hurricanes at home last week.
Both squads are reasonably stable which not many franchises can boast. Reds away record has been pretty poor which...
We have a refereeing thread, but nothing I could find for discussion about the laws (and their interpretations).
Complaints about refs can go elsewhere. This thread is for the G&GR brains trust to clarify what the laws are and how they are meant to be interpreted.
Must be time to start this.
No need for a great deal of rules or guidance on the thread. If it's South Africa and it's rugby, or it effects rugby in South Africa, then it's on topic.
So the inevitable has come to pass.
