Looks like the premiership will boil down to TGS V NC next Saturday with each school having 1 loss each so far. In Toowoomba.

As was the TGS loss to BBC. Unexpected and might come back to haunt them.

If TGS can beat TSS their match against Nudgee on Old Boys Oval the following week will be pivotal.

That is correct - opposing 10s and opposing captains I believe.

I think TGS will win comfortably - game is at Old Boys oval. Interestingly TGS will probably field a full strength team unlike all other GPS schools who probably rest a few key players, when they play Downlands in their bye. Too much at stake for both schools not to give 100%. I remember in 1987...

Just to set the record straight regarding TAS. My 80 year old brother-in-law went to TAS - say around 1958 to 1960 and he told me last night, that the TAS First XV of that era used to play all of the Sydney GPS Schools back at that time. They would usually travel down and back in the train. A...

    Could I ask why Newington didn't field a 3rd XV...out of interest?

Perhaps they could look at what happened in the Sydney GPS Rugby where Sydney Grammar and Sydney Boys High and others whose names elude me. The Armidale School as well (logistics playing a part). The top echelon of 6 schools play each other twice I believe, home and away:- Scots, Newington...

A good win for TGS over Churchie. TSS beat BBC. Sad for BGS down to NC 75-0. State High beat Ippy.

Does anyone know how Churchie went against Downlands last weekend...assuming they played each other?

I agree with farrellybros. - all the big guns are yet to play each other. Also given State High's record this year they are likely to knock off some other schools. Churchie, TGS and TSS escaped with narrow victories (the first two by a point and TSS by 4 points) before the victory over Nudgee...

BBC very lucky to beat TGS and I think they would realise that. With a few minutes to go and TGS attacking the BBC Line and up 17-12 the Toowoomba fullback decided to join the back line. An astute College player saw there was nobody home for TGS and kicked downfield. The ball was regathered and...

I can't see BBC or IGS winning - therefore my tips: TGS, NC, TSS, GT.

I think TGS would be expecting to beat BGS at Old Boys Oval, with or without Chace Oates. BBC v ACGS should be an interesting clash. Also NC v GT where you can usually throw out the Form Guide when those 2 schools meet.

If TGS had a decent kicker in 2022 they would have beaten TSS on the Village Green last year - a penalty about 35 metres out, a small angle, just about full time. I was at the game.

    QLD GPS 2023

I would be putting TSS somewhere in the top 4. Not sure at whose expense - probably BBC or ACGS.

I assume when you say the Blue and Gold, you mean the Blue and Grey ie Churchie? The Blue and Gold is TGS and I doubt whether they would treat rugby as "year round".

    Qld GPS Rugby 2022

They don't "Kill it" in Super rugby but they continually have more players selected for the Wallabies than the Reds. As Rugby Man says the bias has been going on for decades.
