    NSW AAGPS 2024

Particularly memorable in the final round of ‘19 when Joeys smashed Scots to win outright. Jude had the ball on a string and the Joeys boys sang like McCartney “nah nah nah na nah nah na… Hey Jude” , whilst Colin Scotts fumed on the sideline. Great times.

Heinz certainly played in the centres a few years back.

If true, this is a large loss for Scots (pun intended). Not to make light of it though- I’d rate him as the best U17 back in the country that I have seen.

    NSW AAGPS 2024

All these early predictions are brave but futile. My prediction is that the ‘24 season will be close and tightly contested. Over 2 rounds, depth will be tested, home and away will matter and the team that some predict to come last could come first and vice versa. From a depth perspective (for...

That’s not fair- England is a lot more popular than Scots.

At this rate we will be shut down by the end of the week. Please confine commentary to matters actually related to AAGPS rugby.

    U16 schoolboy rugby

I don't think Joeys will play any 16's players up this year. Possibly 1, no more than that and 0 is more likely.

I think you are referring to Shore.

Is he indigenous? is he from the bush? Both might qualify for bursaries although the correlation to sporting talent is very low and given he is from the North Shore it would seem he’s an unlikely candidate. I don't believe any music or academic scholarships are offered in year 8 and there are...

Joeys actually has a fantastic music department, probably the best music education facility in the country when it was built in 1980, and it is probably still amongst the very best. Attend mass, an assembly or the school musical and you'll be embarrassed by your ignorance. There are a number of...

    CAS Rugby 2024

A small number of boys that receive bush bursaries are good at rugby. The majority of boys from the bush who receive bursaries are not good at rugby. Joeys does not have a choir or triangle ensemble. Also, boys from the bush will start yr 7,8 or 9 depending on what their parents can afford...

Civo at 12 is a solid recruit although there may be some age related issues.

If Auggies was admitted to the AAGPS then they wouldn't loose so many students to Barker in year 11 each year. Interestingly, when Auggies was established the school had the ambition of joining the GPS, never say never. There would be a solid fee arbitrage for some northern beaches families.

What’s better? the shattered ego of a Shore supporter 3 weeks deep.

prediction roulette. Why bother, let the boys play an internal trial or 2 first (still more than a month away). Substantial coaching changes at Joeys this year might see a different perspective on some key picks and as always, some will have put in better off season than others.
