Conundrum. Must play Morne Steyn when he is fit.
Sorry Blue. I couldn't help myself.

Ja stander is an excellent player. I would have picked Brussouw.Hope jhe never comes back in.
Is Botha just about the last cab off the rank? Covers 6 and 8 right? Who else is there?
Seems like a tough kid.
Still think the Bulls and SA Rugby have screwed it up badly with CJ Stander.
Brussouw is injured again.Ja stander is an excellent player. I would have picked Brussouw.
Nothing wrong with Schalkies body Boet. At the moment he do his baby duties but he'll be back next year, stronger then ever.I think I would have du Preez as captain before Schalk, I mean what shape is Schalks body in now, let alone 4 years time. Also, I wouldnt want to mess with that loose trio, its perfect.
I would have Steyn at 12 and 13 to whoever wants it most (J Fourie, Taute, Mapoe)

du Preez is a has been.
Shite ja only saw now Heinrich is out for 6 months.Brussouw is injured again.
He is quite injury prone which is not his fault, but it does detract selectors as it causes disruption.
We need fetcher flankers. Francois Louw has been brilliant and hope he return from his chicken running act.Brussow out for six months

The Toyota Free State Cheetahs were dealt a massive blow not only in their Absa Currie Cup campaign, but also ahead of Super Rugby as Bok flanker Heinrich Brussow was ruled out for six months with a shoulder injury.
Brussow injured himself in Saturday’s win over GWK Griquas, and after assessing his injury, it was decided to let him undergo surgery to the shoulder to ensure he can return as early as possible for next year’s Vodacom Super Rugby tournament.
It is the second time that Brussow has been injured this year. He missed a long spell from the end of Super Rugby and the first four Currie Cup games because of a knee injury.
Since his return, he has played only four games in the Currie Cup and now is only expected back towards the end of March.
There is no doubt his loss is a massive blow to the Cheetahs, compounded even more by the fact he is the team’s fifth loose forward to be ruled out for the season.
On top of that, Hendro Scholtz, who was coaxed out of retirement, has to undergo concussion tests this week to see if he passes a fitness test.
The Cheetahs already have Juan Smith, Boom Prinsloo, Kabamba Floors and Frans Viljoen on the sidelines with injury.
Boet privincial tinted glasses or not, we dont need to bring du Preez back, he is way past it. Schalkie still have a lot to offer, to reject him is just dumb. He'll walk into any international team.Interesting that you say du Preez is a has-been when you consider that he is less than a year older than Schalk.
But in saying that, Blindside flank doesnt require the same physicality that scrumhalf does so you're prob right - must just be my provincial rose tinted glasses.
I'm quietly confident that he will now that he has 6 nailed down in the bok team, can Stormers afford him after splashing out so much for the Lions players? I think he may just go to the bulls..Shite ja only saw now Heinrich is out for 6 months.

I dont think either of them are the answer to be honest. I do think we are holding onto de Villiers because of his captaincy/experience rather than 100% on-field performance (Smit-syndrome? Although atleast there is a reason for it as experience is what is required right now). Which begs the question, should he get replaced by a Steyn/Taute combo, who picks himself and has the credentials for the captaincy? Bismarck? (We all know that captains who happen to be fetchers receive more leniency from the refs...)Boet privincial tinted glasses or not, we dont need to bring du Preez back, he is way past it. Jean should play 12 finish en klaar. Steyn will be much better in the 13 position, basher type of midfielder. Pretty sure Meyer wanted to go the Schalk for captain route. du Preez played like shite since he broke up last year. He should stay in Japan, now that he is use to sushie and shite.Typical Cape bias from you again.
How do you know Schalk's body is okay?
Have you seen him play lately? He was supposed to come back three times already and now he isn't even back this year? Sounds like there is a huge problem there.
All reports are from Japan that du Preez is in fantastic shape physically. We all know he has mental strength like few other rugby players.
You cannot deny that an in-form, fit du Preez to look after Goosen is the best possible situation we can have. Assuming du Preez is fit and wants to play for the Boks you have to be an idiot not to at least see him get a chance.
Get used to the idea now. I have it on VERY good authority that he will make a comeback and we know how much love Heyneke has for him.
I suggest you change your screen saver to a pic of du Preez now to help you get use to the idea.
