Magnay comes straight back in, no brainer!

However, I rate the young lad. Think he will be a very good 12, and play Super Rugby for the Rebs. However it wasn't fair to do that to him in such a big match.

He got held up in contact more than once, resulting in turnovers in good positions. He knocked on, missed tackles, didn't get over the advantage line etc. Wasn't on his own, but generally speaking some of our backs put on a heck of a performance given the ball they were getting.

Thomas du Toit in his schoolboy days two years ago.

He also slipped through WP's net.

I reckon he would go for Essendon in the footy.

Because we got smashed. They're completely deluded. I commented after the Japan result it was our worst u20s side ever and yet here we are after getting beaten by 30 points by the side that probably won't win it.

What makes you happy bud? You should do more of it. :)

Reference to the performance enhancing drugs saga in the AFL, with Essendon Football Club at the centre, I reckon ;-)
Thanks Boet, have no idea he was referring to. Thomas du Toit is just a freak prop, performing even better then his fellow Paarl Boys Higher Frans Malherbe or Paul Roser Kitshoff at the same age.

Its not drugs, its the Boland fresh air and a kg steak per day.

Yeah looking at our lads vs those from some other countries, it's clear to me that the tight forwards from places like South Africa, Argentina et al are bigger and stronger at this age than ours. It evens up to a large degree when they hit the seniors, when the S&C of the pro franchises comes into play.

"We've encouraged the South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport to run a pilot study in South African schools, and I was told about the results the other day," he said.

"There were 12 positive cases out of 52 collected samples. That's horrendous, and they were all steroids.

Im not saying anything, but a while ago I did read a similar article conserning doping in SA and the results were even worse.
Cant find it anymore tho.

Funny how you pick and choose what to pull through from that writeup. The Other countries have not yet even been sampled, yet you try infer that it is only us and your boys will all be clean? Having a laugh..

"So there's a snapshot if you like, and I suspect it would be similar in other countries."

Are you try to tell me all 12 positives were from the young Bokkies?

The article was about a pommie, and im not saying other countries arent doing drugs.

You surely can not deny that 12/52 school boys is not bad?

No definetily not saying that, just pointing out that there is a major doping issue, not just in SA, but also in England which the article was about.

Looking at the size of Aussie boys, would be hard to believe they were doing anything or atleast they are doing it very wrong.

Generalisation is a bad habit. Maybe the Aussie boys dont work hard enough or playing to much tag rugby iso pole PT, dont eat enough steak.

Unfortunately Lee, I've got a 9.30am exam on Tuesday, then another one on Wednesday, I think I'll barely have time to watch it, let alone write a review. Also got little to no confidence in my own writing.

Even in the best of circumstances, I wouldn't want to debut writing a match report with a bias against the Native team!

It does happen.
You are a fool if you think it dont happen. But to throw this against SA because they have big players is stupid.

The doping is like coaches want to make sure they want to play in the grey area of the ref. He want his players in peak condition. Its pretty much a very specialised area of any sport and many schools have the supplement suppliers as sponsors.

I have a kid playing provincial sport at u18 level. When they play tournaments, 2/3 matches per day surely he need supplements to get him through the matches. Thats where the parents and coaches play the role because the line is fine between legal and illegal. Its like running into a ruck.
