AIC 1:

1. Michael Hansen-Luther (SLC)/ Possibly Dom Dingwall (Iona)
2. Eric Tou-Ariki (SLC)
3.
4. James Lancashire (Ashgrove)/Cayleb Williamson (SEC)
5. Daniel Byrne (Ashgrove)/Mitchell Schneider (SLC)/Will Sankey (Villa)
6. -
7. -
8. -
9.
10. Jayden Carrol (Iona)/Carter Auld (SEC)/Ryan Cameron (Villa)
11. -
12. Cameron Torpy (Villa)
13. Reagan Glynn (St Pats)
14. David Yabsley (Iona)
15. Kenric Felu (Villa)

The Loose forwards in my opinion are up for grabs, it seriously all depends on how each team ends up at the end of the season. In my opinion the #1 & #2 should be on the starting team for AIC 1. But yeah it's really too early to decide the team until the season is under way

Clifton Setu? I couldn't imagine that after dominating the competition in 2013 he wouldn't make the AIC ones side this year.

I saw Clifton Setu play for Qld Red 16's in Sydney last year, and he was probably best on ground.

The kid's a star, I can only assume he's knocked back scholarship offers from Nudgee, Churchie etc.

Yes I acknowledged that I forgot about him, and replied with that it would be between him and Kenric Felu for the AIC 1 #15 Jersey

Setu will be the first player picked for AIC 1, and I have little doubt he will make Qld Schools 1 as well unless injury intervenes.

And I'm not an Eddies supporter either.....

C Setu. D Byrnes & Gentile from Padua was also in the squad. Others from AIC should have made it and these 3 are as good or better than anyone from gps schools

Lauries forward pack will be very dangerous in 2014
I hear Wayne Craven is making a come back to AIC, this time for lauries this year. weighing in at '100-500kg' (actual figure is unknown due to maximum bulk every day), he is the king of ruck inspecting, and lineout jumping.
He is definitely a force to be reckoned with.

Trials upcoming that I know of.

Lauries v a Canadian school Sunday 16th 4pm at Souths
Pats v Ashgrove Sunday 16th 3pm at Albany Creek
Peters v Padua Wednesday Wed 19th in the afternoon at Wests, but this is only 2nds, 15A, 14A, 13A. Both schools have agreed not play 1sts.
Iona are trialling against Peters on either the Sat 22nd or 29th, but don't quote me on the last one.

SLC thrashed the Canadian team at souths today. Bit of a tussle at the start but the flood gates really opened towards the end. Obviously the Canadian boys weren't used to the Brisbane heat.

The Lauries boys played a fairly weakened team due to injuries, volleyball and junior gold cup requirements with up to 9-10 first choice players sitting out of this one. Despite this there looks to be good depth in the Lauries squad with many players looking to be pushing there cases for a spot in the team. Standouts today included Nick Maroney and Gus Pigott in the second row as well as Will Dwyer and Joel Mead in the back line along with openside Tom Askin. It will be an interesting few weeks to see how the Lauries XV starts to take shape as we get closer to round 1
