On the subject of SLC rugbys decline, is it a scary coincidence that their soccer program is going through the roof with its recent success? I know someone has mentioned the volley and basketball programs in the past, so surely the director of sport cant be at fault. From my understanding lauries soccer has won 4 or the past 5 overall champion school titles, including 3 in a row. Apparently 2014 saw convincing wins overall for the day and in the 1sts at both Ash and Villa. Are the best athletes playing soccer, or are more resources being poured into it?

Their soccer and volleyball programs in recent years have filled the trophy cabinets. With soccer this year already winning the aggregate with a round to play after winning 9 games to 1 against closest threats Villanova. This being their 4th aggregate trophy in 5 years, as previously said by Benson.. However their rugby program is going through a developmental phase, this occurs throughout every school with every sport. Expect Lauries rugby to slowly be on the rise in the near future.

Selections look about right to me, best of luck to the Lads I hope you give those silver spoons a run for their money.

Must say Villa very under-performed school team with the amount of rep players.

change of coaches half way through preseason maybe? injuries may have also played apart, although i believe eddies were well represented for there 6/6 run so far, should give GPS a run for their money id say

Surprised to see so many Villa players in the team considering that they've won 3 from 6, likely to be 3 from 7. A lack of Lauries players is to be expected, but I feel that Ashgrove have been grossly underrepresented, considering that they've had a strong season featuring a quality forward pack.

It has been stated several times but im going to say it again for you mate. The AIC team is selected on personal skill and talent not how well teams perform or how many games they have one. Its about individuals and how they play. that is how you get an AIC jersey.

You'd think that if the Villa team had that much personal talent, they'd be top of the ladder, mate. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who feels that there are better players for these positions.

mate from all the AIC 1st XV coaches the opinion coming from a majority was that villas #6,7 were the best two flankers in the AIC so there positions speak for themselves... as for the villas #12 who got selected at 10 for AIC he also played QLD 16s last year and has played well enough from the Villa games ive seen to make AIC so im not sure what your talking about unless you can name better players in these positions?
