Im aware that round 1 is this coming weeken and Marist played yesterday at Peters request. When did the others play or were they trials.
St Patrick's went down to SLC by 10-17 on Saturday.

This weekend, Iona play Padua. During next week, SEC play Villa to close out the round 1 games.

Then round 2 on 11th May is:

St Pats v Ashgrove @ Marist
SLC v SEC @ Runcorn
Villa v Padua @ Villa (match of the round)
Iona v SPLC

Iona v Padua this weekend should be the good contest. Iona might be missing some Wynnum rugby league players to the Maninga Cup Grand Final but overall should be able to win.

St. Peters 1st XV looking shaky after 61-0 defeat vs. Ashgrove, hopefully key players from Met West U18's looking to make an impact against Iona in Round 2

Honest Question - what is with Ashgrove's "other strip" ?

Is there a particular reason they wear it ?

And what would you call the colouring of the strip ?

Pink Fusion or Majenta ?

Cerise and Blue

as mentioned above, a tribute to Marist Rosalie who adopted it from Joerys in Hunters Hill. Ashgrove has worn the colours in the first game of the since for a decade or so at least.

Maybe Pats should done the Bottle Green and Bell Pepper Red of De La Salle and pay similar homage.

Padua could do the Sky Blue and Australian Gold ( definitely not Canary Yellow ) of St Colombans , especially seeing as though they've inherited their old grounds

Hearing rumours out of Villanova College that some players aren’t exactly buying into what the coaches are preaching. Some interesting selection decisions that some players don’t exactly agree with. A massive comeback against Padua will keep everyone happy for now but if any losses build up expect there to be some major issues here.

Padua 1st XV 24 v 10 Iona 1st XV at a drenched Iona home ground. 2 tries to no. 6 Flanker Sam Mata'afa and 1 to T Rogers. 3 conversions and 1 penalty to no. 9 halfback Preston Lambert.

Geez Iona would not be happy with that result...I did hear they were missing some lads due to a league final but still with home ground advantage they would be pissed off.
On the flip side congrats to Padua for an opening round 1 win.
