CAS 2019

Cranbrook was always one of the two strongest sides in this age group coming through (Knox was the other). So I expect them to be competitive this year. But a lot of their success in the junior ranks was due to the fact that Peter North was bigger and faster than the backs he played against. Where is he this year?

Pete North back in Cranbrooks win today, scored a double first game back.

A lucky kings managed to scrape a lucky comeback after a strong performance from Waverley today. Waverley dominated the forwards, especially at the lineout and showed some fanciful work on the backs.

Waverley will be dangerous this year, but can still improve. If they didn’t lose 3 players early and the penalty count, they may have shut out the game.

SJ23, who did Brook play today and what was the score??
Thanks

Played out in Campbeltown against St.Gregs. Think it was 40-20, if not, very close to that. Gregs were a big, physical team and looked to have all of their league boys playing. They hit hard and were definitely the best team Cranbrook has played yet. There were a couple 2's players in for cranbrook in the absence of Paddy Tagg, Perry Tasker, Lachie Bible and Alex Oreilly so the forward pack was somewhat depleted. When saying that, Oliver Carroll had himself a game, he's one to watch out for.

Sounds like they are looking pretty strong. Great to see CAS teams matching if not defeating some of the top GPS teams. Who were the 3 early injuries?

Think cas going to be a great comp in 2019

Hopefully cranbrook will not lose any of the above

And aloys puts up a fight

Guessing st Greg’s were without league players earlier in year

Who did trinity play today? And how did they fare

Results for Waverley look pretty respectable across ages

Believe they won 13As, 15As and 16As... and narrow loss in 2nds

And won 3rds and fair portion of lower grades

I agree, would be a good year to have a 2 round competition as one loss could ensure a good team out of contention early, but let’s hope not. CAS teams may be matching GPS teams but what do you think will happen come the CAS vs GPS rep game?

Thanks for that. St Greg’s is certainly a better hit out and much needed.
R1 vs Barker (away) is approaching!
