Good win by Australia. The rush defence was just clinical. Unusual to be routinely gaining territory on defence in Sevens.

Chucky Stannard was terrific!

Correct, East Coast time is plus 9 hours.

5.38am: Plate Final
6.15am: Bronze Medal Final
6.37am: Gold Medal Final

Online Coverage (same link) will start at 7.30pm East Coast time, with the bowl and Medal Quarters, with the last match of the afternoon session (shield Semis) finishing around 11.15pm.

We look good! I was excited after John's appointment, Canda did very well under him for their limited talent. Gill and McMahon have made immediate impacts, with them we should be the strongest at the breakdown and a big ball carrying presence.

It's crazy seeing players like gill and McMahon standing next to the other 7s players they look huge.

When ever I look at gill in super rugby and tests I always think he looks small.

TBF, McMahon, despite being short (relatively, 185cm+ is still tall), he has a really broad frame.

I don't think he'd make any changes in the next couple of years, not with the Olympics around the corner, but with an abundance of Opensides, and a general desire for taller, lineout specialist Blindsides, would you have to consider him making a move to the backs?

Similar situation with Stephen Hoiles, not quite big enough for 6 or 8.

Hoilesy definitely was quick enough to play in the backs. Not sure if McMahon is, but then again, there are a few big relatively slow 12s around, even at International level.

Maybe McMahon should play 7 for a while.

Been out of loop of what it comes to watching FTA in Oz, am trying to find the extra channels for the Glasgow games on the Ten network as the rugby 7s is on very soon, guide is found in, but how to get access to the extra 'Glasgow' channels? Some advice appreciated!

It's a conspiracy.

It's Dingo Deans fifth column work all over again.

We get an ex Welsh coach, and the bloody Welsh nearly do us in the Quarter Final.

So much for worrying about meeting The Darkness in the Semis.

But the great escape. 2 minutes after the bell we win coming back from 0-19.

AUS 21 WAL 19.

Now for The Darkness in the SF. One game at a time.

Geraint Jones should go out and buy a lottery ticket now. Complete brain fart by the welsh in dying minute, could have put OZ away very easily.
