Ireland v Wallabies, Saturday 15/11 (Sunday morning Aus time)

Lineout woefull. Poor under the high ball. Can't win a game in the wet if we can't get our lineout right and win the high ball.

If we just got our lineout right and won our defensive high balls we would be in this game. We lack normal skill executing. It's almost like watching a teir one team play Fiji back in the day when they can't get the fundamentals right

Yeah I think we may as well do what France do and send out a lot of our squaddies, at least they might play like they have something to prove.

1. Ross
2. Nasser
3. Tupou
4. Salakai-Loto
5. Canham
6. Hooper
7. Tizzano
8. Samu
9. Lonergan
10. Gordon
11. Pietsch
12. Paisami
13. Ikitau
14. Daugunu
15. Kellaway

And load up the bench in case France phone it in and we look like we are a winning chance:

16. Pollard
17. Bell
18. Ala'alatoa
19. Frost
20. McReight
21. Gordon
22. Sua'ali'i
23. Jorgenson
How about No KOB. We need to pick our best 23 and win the last game! We can do it despite all the doom and gloom. That means our best goal kicker too not Kellaway.

I think they are fit enough to play Super Rugby but not international rugby. This is written all over the pitch by knock ons, fumbles, poor jumping and slow chasing.

Re The ball chase, watch Mack Hansen chasing the ball on his own, and tell me how many times you saw a Wallaby player chase kicks like that?

BR the rest of your reply appears like an apology for failure, I am of the opinion that a harder coach needs to take the reins, and that ain't Les.
I suspect you're right smi.

The hate on potter isn't granted. The rush defence from the NH sides (it's offside half the time) makes it very hard for our outside backs to get any ball. I would have Pietsch and jorgo start when we have wright back but wright isn't fixing these games. He wouldn't get enough ball the way we are playing.

We hardly ever pass the back inside. Remember the good old days when our 10 would go back inside to a Mitchell off a line out and go in untouched. We did it almost every game. Our attack is one dimensional but what do you expect with the revolving 10 door and leaving one of our best 3 10s at home in Donaldson.

The truth is until our forwards start getting over the ad line our backs can't do squat. They are always under immense pressure.

To be better we need faster ball, Gordan doesn't offer that. Gordan has good assets but getting quick ball to our pack to get over the ad line isn't one of them. He ran the ball once which was not bad but needs to do it a bit more to keep the defensive forwards in and slower off the line.
We need to be way better under the high ball
We need to win our lineouts (we had multiple try scoring opportunities gone due to losing line outs)

We had an opportunity to give Donaldson a go this tour to become a test 10, a player who is decent, doesnt seem to get injured and I would rate behind lynagh as our second best option. Instead we pick our 5th or 6th 10 who can't even start at super.

Selections and game plan is killing us and that's down to Joe

I think the temptation to move JAS to 15 is tempered by the fact that you know Tom Wright has that jersey under lock and key, provided he returns with some form.
We haven't seen him at 15 at this level, maybe he will be better that Wright.

Sometimes circumstances change and someone gets a shot in a position that you think is filled and they stay long term.

Years ago, I would have said that Liam Gill would stay at 7, Hooper got a chance and never looked back.

I have not seen even a second of JAS in the NRL and have only seen his rugby exploits and I can't see why he could not be as good as Wright given some time at 15.

I like the idea, KOB but perhaps not quite as many squaddies in the first XV. But, otoh that bench looks the goods as far as this Wallabies team, is concerned.

I think it would be an idea to now trial JAS at fullback at test level. Imo he's not showing enough development to stay in the 13 spot, and he hasn't looked too out of place at 15 for the Tahs. My other thoughts would be to stick with Faessler as starting hooker to allow him to work into some form, and maybe Daugunu to 12 (or 13 with Ikitau to 12 - I just prefer seeing Len at 13) and retaining Jorgo on one wing again to allow him to find some form.

Rugby did not even get a mention on offsiders this morning
Yeah but not a surprise really. I find they don’t cover every sport on that program rather just a deep dive i to a few with the experts reflecting what sport they’re going to talk about on the show.
