NSW AAGPS 2025

After just one round, I’d say the selectors are already tossing around ideas for the GPS 1st XV—and I thought I’d have a crack at it too. I’ve left out anyone currently signed to league contracts, as they’re unlikely to play or may opt out, like Rodwell and Humphries from N last year.

1. Lavercome (K)
2. Smith (K)
3. Bloomfield (K)
4. Fonua (K)
5. Galligan (E)
6. Clout (E) or Dempsey (I)
7. Taumoepeau (J)
8. Lemoto (S)
9. Grover (I)
10. ???
11. Hart (J)
12. Gough (J)
13. Francis (E) or O'connor (J)
14. ???
15. Callaghan (E) (if back in time) or Grantham (N). He did say no last year I believe.

Help me fill it out gents.
Great start, but don't forget these boys (I understand some of them are injured and due back soon):

3. Isaiah Sheck (N)
10. Bede Fogarty (J)
13. Jarryd King (N)
14. Tom O'Hara (S)
15. Max Palmisani (J)

Thanks for the reply,
I get what you are saying. But seriously Doble is one of a kind, the front row for the 3rdXV is incredibly good. Just cause him and Tom Hill are natural Leaugies dosent mean they aren't good at Union. GET A GRIP SCOTS COLLEGE!!!!
Cheers boys,
#Marto
Seriously Agree 'Marto' Scots are losing games because they dont have these boys in the front row, somethings gotta change or Scot's season will go down hill before it even starts!
Cheers Men,

Anticipating to see where Wendt will play after both Callaghan and Bassingthwaighte return. Any ideas?
Well when Callaghan comes back soon, Wendt could move to either inside centre and replace Tully Robertson, or move to the wing and replace Oscar Dalmeida. Will be a tough call and you’d assume that both those boys are fighting for their spot over the next few weeks. Personally, I reckon Robertson is playing excellently and has been a real unsung hero, Tully has always been a quality defender but it was also his attacking threat that was evident vs Joeys where he was involved with multiple line-breaks. Conversely, Oscar offers a much bigger frame and is excellent under the higher ball. Will be interesting to see how the coaches play it.

Bassingthwaighte’s return in a few weeks will likely be at the expense of Dan Ritchie in the 10 jersey. However, moving Rex to 12 is an interesting option that I think may be discussed.

Final word from Stanmore is that Heamasi is playing 2nd XV, Sloane is out with a fractured Tibia, Number 5 (Kupu) is suspended after punching the ignatius back

Good chance that Wendt slots into the centres, Bassingthwaighte at 10 and Callaghan at 15
I'm almost surprised we haven't seen Francis slot into the 15 jersey as he was Callaghan's replacement last season when he missed a game or two at the start however, I'm excited to see Wendt at 15 as he 100% deserves the spot.

I can't see them putting a premiership winning no 10 in Rex into any other position. Shore doesn't have another playmaker like him and I believe he owns that position. You're wasting half of his talent by putting him into no 12.

Thoughts on the rain?

Newington large land mammals may tire in the wet. The sprightly lambs shall prance though across the SJC bowling green with ease.
Only issue will be handling. The Barker game taught them plenty. Even wet a Joeys field is impeccable.

Scots College outdoor aquatic center is filling nicely at this time I am told. Student spies who still communicate with me have noted the puddles on main growing at a radid rate. Once more there will be concerns of players drowning on the worst surface in the AAGPS. Even McKay Oval drained (but local kids stole your hubcaps) . Shore lads must remember to pack their floaties for this game.

Here is 2024

The kings of the mud and emperor of the swamp, Riverview will be licking their lips at the thought of a freshly made bog.
Kings, who like Joeys enjoy a wonderful pasture to plod around on, may not be ready for the Loveable Lane Cove Lunatics in their element.
With at least three games on the mud track before the big one, the oval will once again living up to their title, "Swamp Monsters"

Riverview coaching their year 7 lads on number 1.

It's a good thing the entire Shore 1st XV has had access to the RAI Grant Center's aquatic facilities throughout the course of their studies. I have been told that this team has been making good use of this opportunity, with significant efforts attempting to convert the formidable forward pack to an amphibious operation. Under the Sinclair regime, in between nail painting and discussions of the latest hairstyle trends, the backs have been undergoing resistance training, passing and kicking balls in the hot and cold pools to acclimate them to adverse conditions. Things are looking up, but one question remains: Will it be enough for the punchbowl of the east?

Are Callaghan and Bassingthwaite both returning this week? @electrobro, usually you are all over the news coming out of Scots, do you have anything for us?

I don't have the info on that right now, although I heard a few rumours from a couple of Scots boys who came up to me on the hill last week that they were returning. If they are set to return, this could spice up the game on the weekend with a couple of movements within the Scots team as well. Does anyone know if they are going to return this week? I thought Bassingthwaite was out for a while.
