I believe that isn't the full draw. It only shows the matches on the days where NSWCHS are involved.

Assuming tradition, GPS would have a mid-week game against CAS sometime before the CHS vs GPS game.

A GPS vs ISA game would be fantastic though.

Pretty sure this year all Association Teams only get two Official NSWSRU U18 Selection Trials. Any other games played are either "Affiliates fixtures", or Association fixtures.

The CHSSA Representative fixtures does not include the traditional AAGPS v CAS I & II fixture, which has been listed on other sites.

The "loss" this year is the CHS v CAS fixture. CHS traditionally played all other associations 1st XV less AICES who played CHS II, and therefore were a limited but useful control to compare the relative strengths of the Associations that didn't play each other.

AICES teams were selected yesterday. Kids from all around the state. It is always a big challenge for AICES to compete, lots of reasons but no excuses! We will be there planning to punch above our weight.

Here is a thought. If you look at this team list it is mostly Sydney based. Westfield, westfield, westfield and then westfield, with a few others. Actually, overwhelmingly Sydney. AICES has a lot more Country kids, but very few of these get to play Rugby at School, some of them from the country have competitions to compete in. but NB, in this age group there is NO functional south coast competition. They just do not get to play. At the AICES trials no zone had a team of 15. CSSA provided their players over and again to make it a 15 vs 15 competition. Country Schools folded because they decided there were other pathways. Dear poor old Rugby, what will happen to us? The centralization of Rugby at the CAS, GPS, ISA and Sports High is actually killing Rugby in my opinion. I know for fact, and not opinion, that the best players are being hived off to Sydney schools. And whatever happened to the powerhouse of CHS? Why was it that the NASSA component of AICES did not have a team while their man, who should have been busy enlisting and encouraging players is a nominated coach for further promotion? The whole thing is stuffed up beyond telling. Everyone wants to be a champion, who is taking care of Rugby? Last example, St Edmunds destroying the Waratah Shield in their time. Their ego domination made the shield a joke and most/all schools just gave up on it. Rave over.

I calculate around 40% of CHS squad come from schools outside of Sydney. That's a pretty good representation. Things have certainly changed in the last 20 years with a lot less high schools playing any rugby forcing players to look at private schools that have rugby programs.

To complete the picture regarding representative/performance consistency over time I wonder what the list would look like if you included current GPS First XV players who have appeared in 2014 or 2015 GPS Presidents, 2014 and/or 2015 15 U16 NSW Schools and 2014 15 and/or GPS reps.

Who cares are we meant to make selections based upon on what kids did at the age of 11 or 12?? Just the same as putting forward selection based on what they did in club land.... Not all kids play in club land. What about country kids who don't get that opportunity

Select on current performance not past reputation

Its actually interesting to see who has continued to perform year in year out.

History, especially recent history of performance is a good base line. Its ludicrous to imply selectors would however base their selectors on past performance alone.
