Doesn't matter, the corner posts are no longer considered dead, the ball has to touch the turf dead (or on the dead ball line) for it to be dead. It's effectively the same as bouncing it off the goal posts.

Okay, good to know, a law change that had avoided my attention until now.
It was such a rare occurrence, would have been great to have been a try, would have been on highlight reels for decades to come.

I thought the Lions chant that went up a couple of times sounded like an Aussie style chant. ie: one dimension and out of time and tune :D
I was expecting singing like most home nation matches, but I guess the 4 of them would need to agree on a song. Ain't no one but a Pom singing Swing Low.
Shame in a way they haven't got a song, but I have been to a lot of Lions tests since the 1970s, and they never had one.

I think his hands go over the ball without touching it. When he actually does touch it, the ball is already on the dead ball line.

There was the potential to score. He certainly got there before the ball went dead.
Yeah he got caught out by the bounce back and it went into his chest.

I think you can technically ground it with your chest but we was well out by then.

Was just talking to mate in Brisbane who was at game, he said same as you Spam, has been a little disappointed with atmosphere, said it felt a little flat. Wasn't really bad or anything, and as he said perhaps after we came over to a couple in 2017 when Lions were in NZ he was expecting similar He actually Welsh so why we came to a couple in 17. But we still laugh as we we walked down to train station in central Auckland, the chanting form Station was so loud etc we swear the lights were pulsating ro it. There was Lions, Lions .Lions, then All Black, All Blacks etc just ringing out, then on trains to Eden Park, set the whole atmosphere, and never really stopped. Just something I really enjoy, almost organic cheering, no man on microphone geeing anyone up. Also he corrected me and said Lions supporters were singing 'Sloop John B'. And we had spent the days of games with a mixture of supporters etc, so was brilliant.

Very true, but it was disappointing considering the team the Reds put out there
Do you think it's also got something to do with Lions also bring on bench full of test players, and super teams don't have that luxury (especially with test players out)? I didin't think the Reds looked to bad, until the Lions looked like they wore them out.
