Probably a good point Mr P, the test I talked about in Auckland, we were having a beer with some Lions supporters who had flown out, leaving London on that Wednesday and returning on Monday, like me and mate that flew over from Aus ,had found tickets online after the test the week before and thought stuff it it's a decider, so they called in sick to work and had 4-5 days off!

Well yeah, the Lions are a really good team, but Reds had 2 capped Wallabies on the bench too. The loss is certainly not a surprise or disappointment, more the final score

Probably didn't help that the Lions had their customary "loss they needed to have" in their opening game against Argentina either. The blokes would be primed to not fuck up too many times before the tests. I don't necessarily think there is much to read into these games - or even too much to compare either. The results from 2013 were more upsets than expectations - what's happening now is definitely expected.

One thing I took out of the Force game is just how filthy the Lions players were when they made a mistake. I think they all believe they can make this team and are applying enormous pressure on themselves. That doesn’t bode well for the Super sides.

Yeah those "10 Caps" Nasser and Blyth added really skewed the figures in our favour........

Last Lions tour I went to the test in Sydney at the Olympic Stadium. The absolute highlight was the Welshman who broke into song on the train to the ground. He was opera concert-singer good. The atmosphere on the train was electric, one of those memories I'll never forget.

It all went downhill from there. That stadium just sucked all the atmosphere out of the game - not my greatest all-time rugby memory. But in a decent ground like Brisbane the atmosphere for the test should be terrific. There's no reason the tour game should have been a lacklustre experience either, but you just have to take the opportunity and hope it comes out well. If it doesn't, then there is always next time.

The atmosphere at the test in Brisbane in 2013 was incredible. I think it will purely come down to how close the games are. A blow out either way will kill it.

Yeah i think a big swathe of the B&I Lions tourists would only be arriving this coming week in the leadup to the test matches(at least the ones i know are), with much of the Lions crowd at the Reds and Force game being made up of expats living in Australia.
