Teamlist out Monday i believe. Hearing going 6-2 bench with Werchon and Henry on bench, Asiata missing out for Nasser

But evidence for Global warming. I remember the good old days where Qld hadn't won Claxton or Sheffield Shields with all their great talented teams.

Claxton Shield, that takes me back.

It is a shame what has happened to Australian Baseball, looks like only 4 teams this this season. I guess this gives the Brisbane Bandits a 1 in 4 chance of the title.

To get back to rugby, Ian Williams played for NSW in baseball in the early 80s and also played for Australia on a Wallabies tour of Great Britain.

Be interested to see who the Lions name for this game, I imagine now all the squad basically have had a run, the Reds may just find they will meet the 'midweek' team? Or will they mix and match for another week or so. Imagine they will want test team running together pretty soon.

The best opposition the Lions will face is the two mid week games against the Reds and Brumbies. If they are keen to start testing their real team you’d think we will see it Wednesday. Problem is 8-9 of them played against the Force so a short turn around may limit that. I can’t see any benefit in running their likely test team against a depleted Waratahs and running up 70-80 points. Let’s see what they do!

You'd think it's got to be quite tricky for the Lions against the Reds.
After playing 23 of their overall squad on Saturday night, then to have to catch a 7 hour? flight from Perth to Brisbane (assuming on Sunday), then just 2 days training in a team not used to playing with each other yet, the Reds would have to be favourites come Wednesday on their home ground.
Although the Lions will probabaly have the larger fan base. It will be a bit confusing with the stadium being all RED. o_O

4 hour flight. Not ideal, sure, but also really not that bad. I say this as a leggy and broad 6'3" who doesn't sit near the pointy end.

The Caxton St publicans are getting an early Xmas present with all of these games.

Sold out Broncos game just gone, into a double header Dolphins game and then Reds v Lions this Wednesday.

I gotta say though, the surface looks shit house. So much rain weather footy having been played there this year.

Problem with it being a mid week game is, coming from work I'll probably grab a bite to eat in the city as even on normal reds games there's hardly anywhere to eat these days.

With Brewski moving on and for some reason having two Indian joints doesn't really give all that much variety other than beers.

The Caxton hotel itself actually does some good pub food imho.

Depending on the game they usually have some limited menu running outta the restaurant downstairs that could be worth a shout.

But otherwise yeh I agree, better/cheaper options in town and you can still walk to the game in 15mins
