Slim on the McMahon issue and doubting me, I can only say

"Oh ye of little faith"

Sean is hopeful of a return in Round 6.

Am also hearing the Rebels are filthy at Coaching/Medical staff at Wallaby level.

Injury was sustained on EOYT and lad was cleared very much prematurely.

Bloke could have had surgery early to mid December and his recovery 4-6 weeks in advance as to now what it will be.

Is it just a matter of negligence or a disrespect to ALL the franchises that player safety takes a back seat to the so-called "national interest". There will be some ducking and weaving if any real journos ask the hard questions.

There is a bit more life in this story but I feel for the lad.

With Pocock not playing in OZ this year it was the perfect chance for Sean to cement himself into the Wallabies (somewhere)

It cuts both ways, for example, my mail is very much that Timani will play lock this year.

In an ideal world, Sean would've been presented with the facts ('you COULD play, but these are the risks...'), and would have made the decision. But, we don't live in that world (nor can players and their managers be expected to make the right decision).

Id say the lad decided on prolonging the surgery as he was getting married. Probably didn't fancy walking around on crutches.

That's my feeling about the situation as well, which if the case he would have been in discussions with the Rebels about delaying the surgery.

Pama Fou has raptures the same ACL and will miss the entire season.

Koroibete has injured his MCL, and could still play the Brisbane 10s but might even miss the first few rounds if more serious.

McMahon will miss the first month at least.

Jeffries had clean up surgery on Australia Day and Dominic Day will miss a few week after a shoulder injury in the Top League.

Really? I thought they needed to play DS when not in the Rebels 23.

Not the preseason extras (many of whom are in the U20 squad), they are only contracted for preseason.

I might have misconstrued the meaning of 'extras' but I think I was on point.

Schatz is a good one, reckon I'd slot him straight into the blindside, get a bit of balance in the pack.

DPG seems to just be shifting some extra cover from wing to center.
